We really like the Sonos system and the sound is very good but the app isn't very good and the constant updates are annoying.

From there just hook them up to an airport express, and you're free to play literally anything from your phone, directly off of your phone, and without having to go through a stupid f-ing app

This app is unable to deal with concepts like listening to part of an audiobook, listening to some music for an hour then trying to pick up the audiobook where it left off

Very disappointed that I cannot connect my own audio source because the app doesn't work well with Spotify.

I set them up in one room as a stereo like pair and the app made that very easy.

If you want to use your Sonos system if Sonos the company ever goes belly up and stops supporting its app, or if you want to use a record player or other similar device on your system, you need at a minimum a Play 5.You might need signal boosters, depending on your house construction.

The only thing was initially getting the app for a Windows laptop, but the Android controller app is just as capable as the desktop app

I had an Amazon echo, I sent it back because it wasn't nearly as useful as they claimed and the app was cranky and poorly designed

I can easily control the system through my ipad mini and play whatever music I want to with appropriate APP.

Although Sonos advertising their product works with Alexsa, Alexsa does not want to work with Sonos as of today December 2017

In short, if you’re willing to put in the time regularly to get this system working as it’s supposed to, are okay with very few customization options and don’t need to share the system with anyone else in your household, you may be perfectly happy using Sonos
