Sony Alpha a5000 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm OSS Lens (Silver)

    • very nice camera, however with an interchangeable lens you need to be provided a cover to protect the camera body and the lens when they are detached.
    • Unfortunately, my fiance dropped it on day 2 of our trip and the lens bent so it could not retract.
    • While disappointed my lens stopped working after 13 months, I accepted I would probably need to pay for repairs.
    • Lens stop working after 2 uses
    • This Sony Alpha 5000 is an affordable mirrorless camera that delivers excellent images, but advanced shooters are going to feel limited by its control system compared to something like this Fujifilm here: http://amzn.to/1VPtJv5PROS:+ Tilting rear display.+ Compact body and lens.+ Built-in flash
    • but the lens it comes with is perfect for landscape and close up picks.
    • I've included a few pictures that I took with the a5000 to give you an idea of its capabilities with a good lens
    • The I have had this camera for exactly 47 days and the lens is already making a weird "zipper noise" whenever the lens extends
    • I did buy a Sigma 19 lens as well as a Sony E55-210 telephoto lens to go with this camera & I love the Sigma lens but the lens that came with it also took nice photos and selfies
    • I found this camera and it seemed like it would be a great performer while still being small in size and having a good lens out of the box
    • While disappointed my lens stopped working after 13 months, I accepted I would probably need to pay for repairs.
    • I love the idea of this camera+ the interchangeable lens
    • It would be better if it came with a good 50mm lens instead of a silly zoom lens, but I like it a lot

    • The Alpha series does offer some amazing E-Mount lenses that depending on your photo style, you will at least want to get ONE to cater to it
