For shooting scenery (my forte) I usually use the kit lens at 24mm equivalent (which is fairly wide angle) and set the camera to a small aperture for maximum depth of field - everything in sharp focus.

The good stuff: Lovely pictures, pretty accurate colours even with kit lens, very fast focus, the 11-shots per second speed is remarkable with no apparent lag, Bokeh with either the kit lens or the 18-135mm lens is surprisingly good, (and yes, there are settings to controol that to some extent apparently), built in flash is adequate, except for the Movie mode dial, the remainder of the controls are well positioned and relatively easy to activate

For those wanting to take advantage of the advertised super-fast focus speed, be aware that PDAF only activates in AF-C (Continuous mode) with Wide or Zone focus area, and only at f11 or wider aperture (f3.5 to f11 on the kit-lens).

With absolutely perfect focusing technique and using a depth of field calculator, I was able to get one file with sharpness throughout at f/10

You still cannot beat a DSLR for fast and accurate focusing for action and in low light however for general photography the A6000 won't disappoint.

I can't tell you how many pictures I lost over the years because I couldn't see the camera display when the sun was bright, and with the vague and often inaccurate auto focus, I lost quite a few potentially awesome pictures.

I used the kit lens and admit that perhaps focusing could be more accurate with a decent lens

With the Sony 55 - 210 mm telephoto zoom lens, Sony's autofocus system in the A6000 will often take a nearly-correct focus setting and change it to totally-out-of-focus, and then 'hunt' for focus

Sony made some major changes with this, using a hybrid focusing system, which makes this the fastest focusing camera currently out on the market

The camera is very lightweight and small, easy to carry; has the remote functionalities, can install apps from the camera or sony store with remote install; Sony a-guide is very good for lessons and lens specs; tons of features inside and outstanding focus

I say AF because some lenses like STM's require power even if you intend to only use manual focus ($20 mistake on my part) (make sure you do your homework before purchasing)
