I can't say that I'm avid photographer, but I've taken quite a lot of amazing shots.

The quality of photos shines, it focuses quickly, and action shots stay in focus really reall well

Took great shots when it did work, the AF is really fast and accurate

I've taken some great shots with the a7 and its 28-70 kit lens, but it's nowhere near the effective 150mm reach of the 18-105

I have gotten clean shots in very low light and the high frame rate coupled with the fast auto focus is truly amazing

It also takes pretty amazing shots at night and when your subject is in motion

I can get great shots at ISO 3200 in most situations... sometimes at 6400.

I know the old adage that a professional photographer gets just a few good shots in hundreds, but my friend was post processing his images at the same time I was and I was floored at the difference.

I knew I'd use the camera semi-professionally, and needed it to meet criteria that allowed it to be effective in low light and take rapid shots to capture the action of the kids I work with

Airplane Mode On, I never leave home with less than 4 batteries fully charged and keep turning it off and on again, which makes me miss some unexpected shots

and I now have a camera with me most times for those unexpected shots.

It takes a while to learn all the functions this camera has especially if you are not an experienced manual mode DSLR shooter, but it is well worth spending the time to learn all this camera has to offer as there are features like vertical panorama shots that I use much more than I thought I would and which have produced amazing shots

Whereas my regular ISO 3200 shots look like a grainy rainbow colored hot mess, my Multi NR 3200 ISO shots look like my ISO 800 shots

I consistently get amazing shots equal to or sometimes better than APS-C based DSLRs.

Even in the smart modes you can hand someone this camera and get perfect shots

Takes great clear shots with a minimum of camera weight and fuss.

It's light with the standard kit lens, but you will quickly get tired of the soft shots it produces

I tried the G 16-105, and while it takes nice pictures, it's also limited to F4, and I found myself hindered from taking nice indoor shots.

Also when you shoot with a viewfinder the camera is closer to your body and you get steadier shots

I also tried to use the aperture modes if I want to close up shots and blur the background

The auto focus is so fast and my go-to setting on the SCN is the action/sports mode which lets me take incredible shots of my dog and other moving objects (like that bubble!

I found this product to be a disappointment, shots are often blurred or simply don't look good

The professional photographer might have greater expectations in terms of features and functions, but for the amateur who simply wants some great shots of the kids, their summer vacation, any special event or even some professional looking photos, the Alpha a6000 is a camera you should definitely consider.

The Canon T3 takes really sharp shots on a tripod at night, but not as great handheld at higher ISOs.

With many features accessible only through menu, there are chances that you will miss the shots you want to remember.

The A6000 takes great shots.

Fortunately this isn't required for taking great shots

this camera does more, smaller and the shots are amazing.

This is a great camera, I'm an amateur at photography but with this camera, my shots come out like professionals

There are a number of nice stabilized primes for the camera, and they will take really great shots, but assume you're going to rely on autofocus with the EVF.

Battery only supports 250 - 300 shots for me.

I do recommend getting another lens, if you want more than better tourist snap shots

Panoramic shots will consume more space, movies a lot more.

C'mon now.-After about 10 shots into the action shot, the camera slows down a bit.-Lenses are expensive, few and far between, and you'll need a couple adapters to move around to different lens fixtures.-Macro shots are good, not amazing with a 50mm lens

Then, I tried continuous shooting and I was floored--11 frames per second, which now allows me to take much better action shots

Just today I took some and this time, having gotten used to the auto focus quirks, I took multiple shots of critical scenes with identical settings and sure enough, on more than one of them, the scene was out of focus

I can get incredible running shots and have yet to miss a midair leap

It's compact, easy to use, and gives sharp shots

So here I am, two months into this camera, 100 youtube videos later, and I am getting some pretty amazing shots.

Upgraded from Sony Nex 5T, so I could make use of 18-55 and 55-210 lenses.

The a6000 destroys the 5T in autofocus, it is far far faster and more accurate.
