So, now I am little more happy, but wish overheating issue is not there
-
By searching forums dedicated to this product I discovered that turning "Live View" off while in manual mode solves the dark finder issue when using a remote flash trigger
-
Confounding the issue is that there are reviews on the Web that say this lens is good.
-
At first I thought the lack of zoom would be an issue, but I've adjusted by using my feet and by thinking harder about how I want to compose the shot
-
Dust can be an issue (with any interchangeable lens camera), so always be away from windy situations and change lenses fast
-
You will have to search harder for accessories that are compatible, especially flash units since the Sony units are very expensive and poorly rated because of overheating issues, etc
-
(I am not sure if this is my skill-set issue or the copy I was using had that
-
Chromatic aberration and edge softness are not objectionable even with the kit lens; a result of the camera's firmware ability to correct issues even in the kit lenses
-
Not worth investing in better glass because of very weak ISO issues
-
Solving the overheating issue is nearly impossible, leaving the battery open/screen out...not interested.
-
Apparently from what I've seen on camera discussion boards this is a common issue with this lens- lucky me
-
One could only dream that a firmware update would correct this issue.
-
The lack of marking on the Sony e-mount lenses was also a major issue
-
Another issue is that the camera drains the battery even I don't use the camera.
-
I am bummed out because now I have no camera for my upcoming trip and there is nothing else out there that I like as much as I liked this Sony a6000
-
For now I rely on the fast and clear E-mount Sigma 30mm prime that works perfectly w/ the camera.
-
The fastest e mount or fe mount constant aperture zoom available from any manufacturer is currently f4.0.
-
There are some good YouTube videos as well as a good e-book by Gary Friedman (http://www.friedmanarchives.com/alpha6000/index.htm)
-
This is one of my two favorite E-mount lenses.
-
There are a lot of naysayers on the web who say that Sony doesn't have a good lens selection, but the E mount lenses available for this meet my needs.
