The only missing feature is the live view.

Actually, it's amazing, and this is its strongest feature compared to the GoPro

I still like this cam and its a nice little compact unit with some great features...but the on and off support for updates and the fact that the new az300 cams are light years ahead of this lend me to recommend you in that direction.

Great picture quality, love the image stabilization feature, makes walking very smooth.

It does work well and that feature is a great advantage over the GoPros

It does have some cool features like taking photos periodically while filming, joining several cameras together, live feed, take pics only and the fact that it is very small

The coolest feature is the wrist-watch-like video screen that gives you complete control over start, start and configuration

Sony must realize they can't sell the "NEW" GPS remotes, because the MAIN feature of this remote (GPS) doesn't work!!I am assuming they needed to get the AZ1 cameras on the selves before Christmas and they would worry the GPS BUG later!!I guess SONY can't sell

I would buy it again for the steady shot feature.

You can also copy videos from camera to PC manually from the camera's file system (like an external drive) as well as through native import or apps currently available through Windows 8 or OS X.

You must have a micro card for the camera to work as there is no on board storage

Capture, however, is not as good as with my GoPro 3+ (even with xavcx codec)
