Because the whole point of a HD Camera was to take good videos.

Instant focus and clarity even in darker videos such as a concert or driving at night.

Fish Eye Lens effect and Grainy video (no matter what format or

good, tiny action camera with live view remote, makes good video (be aware of fish eye effect, you can remove it with 3rd party software)

Both the video and audio are exceptional

Your videos are ready to show/post as soon as you finished recording

I must say compared to all of them SONY's AZ1VR is very lightweight (Approx.2.2oz (63g) with battery) and captures excellent photos and videos

These cameras are made for daylight sporty actions and captures excellent videos when used for those moments.

It only stabilizes the video if you are at a slow jogging pace

The video looks great, and the audio is pretty impressive too

I personally prefer just copying video manually like an external drive.

Do you think you will need to change the settings on the fly in the middle of action?This camera comes with a waterproof case, so it is easy to do underwater video just like with the GoPro Hero

The video just looks like when the cam is reading the whole sensor worth of information it is throwing out some lines or pixes while it compresses things down to 1080p

Modes (Photo, Video, Time lapse) can't be changed or confirmed on the camera itself- GPS is built into the remote not the camera

My only other complaint is that the video becomes very grainy in low light situations

The gopro takes excellent quality video, but the software is constantly causing issues.

Video remained clear and sharp regardless of lighting as we traveled from room to room, some well-lit, others not so much.

In lower light, the camera has to adjust its ISO setting up in order to get the sensor to see the little bit of light there is, but this higher iso speed results in grainier video, but this is common to all action cameras, so I don't think it really detracts overall
