I have to ask Amazon to be more upfront about the origins of how these Sony's and other region/zone free Blu-ray player's are

The big issue is the fact that almost none of these Region, zone Free Blu-ray players tell us they are modified by a third party and that would void Sony's warrantee

Excellent multi-region blu-ray player. Works perfectly!
