My son loves this stereo.

The display looks like it was pryed out of a 20 year old digital watch with impossible to read numbers unless 2" away from it.weird........It does play clear and sounds like you dragged a huge stereo outside if you take it outside

I wanted a powerful portable stereo that plays mp3's, and this fits the bill to a T. Plenty of volume, good solid (adjustable) bass, and plays mp3's without a hiccup!

but this stereo is amazing its sound quality is better than any other stereo this size

the 700 with full bass settings sounds strong n' bassy, but it doesn't compare strongly with a good home stereo, which I think of as deep, punchy, and very clear.

I love this stereo.

I would recommend anyone to purchase this boombox for their husband that wants a great stereo sound in a small boombox type radio.

It is not close to as loud as my home stereo, but when you divide output difference by cost difference, it was a good deal

I received this stereo as a graduation present and it has shattered my expectations!

One reviewer noted, correctly, that this boombox is rated at 10% distortion, and good stereos systems have 1% distortion, maybe this is the issue.
