Having owned 3 RCA clock radios that also played CDs, and having thought them all wretched pieces of junk, I may like the Sony mostly just because it works, but that's pretty much all I need it to do.

I've owned several Sony alarm clocks

I had a very nice Sony CD/Alarm/Radio/Clock a few years back, and it worked fine, until someone stole it ... and they don't make it any more

This is a decent Sony product in terms of features, but they missed the boat on this one completely

I could have spent alot more on other units - but the Sony is perfect and at a fantastic price of $49.99 I couldn't be happier.
