It’s okay with taking photos if you just want a basic camera and do not mind if the photo is not crystal clear.
-
some of the reviews stated if you plan on taking any photos in darkness this thing really exacerbates darkness, but for outdoor sunshiney photos its perfect.
-
Takes good photos.
-
The focus is not intuitive, and is very erratic, most photos come out blurry even when taken on a tripod, with anti shake turned on
-
It takes very nice still photos, which according to my linux box are 19.9 MP

Indoor photos aren't any better than the 8-year-old camera I bought it to replace, despite having a much higher pixel count

This digital camera takes pretty good quality photos (better than expected).
-
Great photo quality
-
the video focus is not stable, the panoramic mode has some weird color tones, the optical zoom is mostly of focus, the camera is slippery-plastic made, the photos seems super clean on the camera than on computer it need a +1 exposition of some shots.
-
Shutter speed is slow--so slow that by the time it closes--you have the perfect photo you did not want
-
Overall it takes great photos but from the very few pics that I could take, it's not worth it
-
Lock the ISO at ISO 200 for good photos of non-moving subjects
-
It did the job and took some very nice photos, the battery lasted through the entire hike and it even takes some half decent video
-
great quality photos
-
I used to take panoramic photos by taking tens of photos with my DSLR and stiching them with a software which was both difficult and time consuming
-
It takes great photos sometimes and horrible, blurry ones more often
-
Simple and it takes fine photos
-
so I don't know what to say other than that the photos this camera takes are kind of lackluster

Blurred photos are caused by hand movement, not by the camera
-
Blurry photos.
-
It is almost impossible to get a good photo inside or outside
-
Takes great photos - nothing spectacular - but brought this camera with my on a trip to Venice Italy

It takes excellent photos in natural day light but night shots can be a challenge.

It does not focus properly and I get much better photos with my cellphone camera

For sharper photos, practice bracing your hand or arm against a wall or table and pushing the shutter very gently.
-
Overall it takes great photos but from the very few pics that I could take, it's not worth it

Having thirteen years of good photos with no problems is the best reason to buy a Sony product.

-
Takes great photos
-
Even so I replaced it with the same model because this camera takes such nice photos so effortlessly
-
-Terrible battery life-Irritating autoflash, when selected it will flash at all times - even in strong lighting and therefore reducing the battery life further- slow shutter speed, seems to be a disconnect between pressing the button and the device understanding you want a photo to be taken-long delay between ability to take shots
-
Outdoor photos were pretty nice
-
I can now take mediocre photos that are not as good as my Iphone
-
its in purse nicely yet takes nice photos.

Since my last camera was stolen, I wanted to replace it and the quality of the Sony, along with a very good price, gives me better photos and even the ability for video.
-
I wasn't happy with my low quality iPhone 5 pics - this is a great quality photo for the price.
-
The only improvement over the past 10 years seems to be a few more extra pixels, and that does seem to give a very small advantage, but my old point-and-shoot takes far superior photos that look far more realistic
-
I was excited for this as a backup camera, but it takes extremely grainy blurry photos.
-
Go into the menus and learn to use the program mode which lets you set a 400 ISO level for faster shutter speeds, adjust exposure for brighter or darker photos, and adjust the contrast or color balance of your photos.
