The bokeh may not be as smooth as some would like however

Especially those new to photography who are yearning for that creamy beautiful background blur and beautiful soft bokeh.

Expect good clean images at around f3.5-4 and if you are using full frame you get pretty good bokeh

It produces a good sharp image and smooth bokeh

but overall you can get some decent bokeh out of this lens too and for the price its hard to complain honestly.

Bokeh is smooth and non distracting

For bokeh lovers, you can get some real nice shallow depth of field with decent bokeh at 1.8 aperture

The lens formula is a modified double gauss, not perfectly corrected for spherical aberrations, so it's naturally slightly soft wide open, on the other hand the lens has very nice bokeh

but overall you can get some decent bokeh out of this lens too and for the price its hard to complain honestly.

It has arguably better optics wide open, better CA control, and cleanest bokeh of the budget 50's.

Bokeh is very beautiful.

Extremely nice bokeh and unless you are pixel peeking, one would be hard pressed to tell the difference in your photos
