The chromatic abberations and color reproduction are some of the worst I have ever experienced: Worse than cheap canon kit lenses, and certainly worse than the cheap 28-70mm kit lens that comes with the Sony A7II.In conclusion, there is NO reason for anyone to purchase this lens, ever.
-
It's so much lighter than the much more expensive ~50mm prime lenses for Sony
-
one of the slowest auto focus lenses I’ve ever used
-
The lens allows astounding light transmission (T-stop) of T1.8, matching its advertised F-stop; rival lenses like the Nikkor 50
-
Also, yes the autofocus isn't going to be as fast as other lenses in Sony's line up
-
The lens design is some what of a 'classic' so it is more susceptible to flare than many modern lenses
-
Fantastic lense for portrait photography
-
I give this lens a 4 stars because it fall a little short to nice lenses like the batis 25mm f2.0 that i'm used to shoot with.
-
Good quality lense for the price, perfect for portraits!!
-
Amazing lense.
-
good lenses for this price, autofocus on a6000 works quite good (in AFC mode
-
I was sold with several reviews recommending 50mm prime lenses, although the picture quality is fantastic, I still don’t find much reasons to spend on this one, I find the 25-55mm lense included in the A6000 bundle is very handy
-
Not as sharp as some pro lenses in the 55mm range but you can get some quality results.
