Sony HDR-AS100VR POV Action Video Camera with Live View Remote (White)

    • Prior to purchasing this camera, I have been using a Gopro white edition, which is a pretty good camera for some informal cycling videos, but I really needed something with better image quality.
    • I really like the wrist remote setup, and the videos so far have been great - excellent resolution, good image stabilization.
    • Much better image
    • No possibility to set 120 degree FOV without enabling image stabilisation that ruins the image quality
    • Excellent image stabilization.
    • Definitely noticeable even when comparing the AS100 "Pro" 1080P to the AS100 standard 1080P (50Mbit vs 16Mbit).-Improved image stabilization
    • Pros:- Amazing image
    • If you only need the sharpest image with the option of diving to 200ft, and those are worth $120.00 more to you, go with GoPro
    • WHY would they ship it with an underwater case that cannot shoot in focus?Sony expects the customer to find out that the camera produces unacceptable picture quality when used underwater, not be upset by getting duped, and then PURCHASE a door or new non defective case that does not produce blurry images
    • The housing provided with the kit (spk-as2) as the one I bought extra (spk-as1) cannot record underwater (ONLY blurry images, because of the door design)
    • Overall I am very impressed...the positives and negatives:+ Image Stablization - Amazing what the IS can do on this when skiing through rough terrain, a game changer in my book+ Video Quality - Very clear and
    • Cheaper than a go pro and has a better image and features
    • Their claims about making quality very sharp is also very true, both images and images are very sharp.
    • It also has GPS tracking and better image quality
    • It has Image Stabilization which is improved over the AS30 (which was already amazingly good)
    • Home is even more pathetic - can't delete images from the
    • So the pros are better image quality than the Drift Innovation Ghost and Contour cameras
    • Better images than anything i've tried, Anything!
    • Sony makes an awesome Image processor on their cameras.
    • I love knowing what the image looks like while it's recording and being able to start and stop recording at will.
    • Considering it's excellent low light imaging, the absence of a helpful, backlit display for low light operation strikes me as odd.
    • Excellent image quality.
    • Pros:- Aerodynamic shape- Excellent image
    • Excellent image quality in a nice low profile form factor
    • Image is fantastic
    • While the image on the display is bright and super sharp, it's size is essentially useless other than to confirm proximity to the target, which is alright with me.
    • I really did not expect the camera to perform as great as it did when I put it through a series of test rides on my Cannondale road bike while using different video settings after viewing some video and pictures
