What surprised me the most was the amount of strong, booming bass sound these small speakers delivered at a low volume

I'm usually a brighter Klipsch sound person, but this Sony sound works just well with pop and rock and spoken words (hook it up to a bluetooth TV)

Also keep in mind that you basically have to be sitting in front of it to experience the best sound , even then the base on most songs are to weak
