The sound is not great but OK.

I also added a "sound base" that has a built-in sub-woofer which is sufficient for a bedroom and makes it a richer sound.

When you get down to it at the end of the day - this TV has a good picture, acceptable sound (what TV has built in great sound anyways?), and is aesthetically pleasing.
