Another website with ratings, opinions, and information is head-fi dot org (just do a search since I can't post live links here).But with all that information I was starting to see that the sonic qualities of the Sony MDR7506 (strong bass, bright highs) are probably appealing to the masses generally and are not so well suited for someone who likes acoustic/wide frequency spectrum/wide dynamic range music (like symphonic orchestra music - Wagner, Mahler, Bruckner, Holst, etc.).Since I also plan to do some location sound mixing I almost kept them since, as the SonarWorks reviewer mentions, they're well suited for that particular use since they have good acoustic noise isolation and the high treble emphasis could be helpful when trying to make sure you're not recording unwanted sounds on location

Some of those bad music reviews also tell me that some people are just too lazy to adjust the volume knobs

If you're looking for listening headphones to modern music with a rich bass response, these will disappoint

The sound quality is stellar, even at low volume the music it's Richly textured and very nice.

Then I tried listening to my regular music 1 - with my regular monitor speakers, 2 - with previous cheap headphones.and all the sudden my music sounds like crap

It's long and bulky and sometimes it becomes a hassle to deal with or untangle, but if that's the price of excellent sound quality and truly being able to enjoy my music with pristine quality, so be it.

I feel cheated hearing music my whole life without listening thru these!
