SonicStage and the ATRAC sound system was the best music system ever made

(Review based on the nearly identical Sony MZ-NE410.)High-capacity, high-quality, lightweight, inexpensive music player that you can carry in a jeans pocket and barely notice it's there

it has speeds now that you can add alot more music on the discs as well

the latest version of Sonic Stage (2.1 at this writing) is a big improvement in ease of use over the original one, working well

Anyway in my humble opinion ATRAC was and is the best sound system ever made

but still a good minidisc player for its price

Unlike earlier Sony Minidisc portables,this unit can't record directly from a CD player

The Sony Net MD was the perfect gift, I could have ever recieved for Christmas

I was given this as a gift and especially since it was given to me, I love this thing

The Net MD simple burner software used to load a CD onto MD will only work in the downright bad sounding LP2 or even worse LP4 format

The sound through a good set of phones is pleasant

, it has good sounds, and the disk that they gave me can store about 5 hours of music

Overall I would not recommend this product-guys get an ipod shuffle for the same price which looks cool n sounds awesome.n if u wanna spend some extra bucks, get an ipod or dell dj.for the music nerds, this isn't the thing u will like--the sound quality doesn't keep to the expectation.

Sound is very good, even at the highest compression rate it's just barely below CD-quality--MDs are relatively inexpensive (about $2 apiece)--Low price compared to most mp3 players--Bass and treble are adustable

Everything else in this is great, I can fit over 3-5 hours of music, less if I want to keep the full titles of songs, and amazing battery life.

The only thing I wish that this had that it doesn't is a backlight, but that would ruin the good battery life.

I was looking into portable MP3 players that were relatively cheap, then saw the Net MD psyc for under 100 bucks

If you own the CD it is very easy to transfer the music to the Walkman device, if on the other hand you have swapped out a whole set of MP3's from your friends and never properly paid the artists for their work then you would have trouble transferring the MP3 to ATRAC also if you buy all of your music from iTunes and try to transfer to ATRAC there could be a problem

Also you can get a good mp3 player for about $120 but this one cost about $

I was searching for a cool MP3 player and came across this one from Sony

It holds just enough space for people like me who don't have 3,000 songs to put on the darn thing

I got a total of 48 songs on one alone..its a great space saver with all that music on one disc

Unfortunetly Sony forgot to give their users an easy way to transfer their files to the net md

there is also no way to edit the song titles or delete songs without hooking the usb up..but a small proce to pay for the quality.. i highly recomend it..

..download the program into your computer..transfer songs from your songs off your hard drive into the programs library and your ready to go..you can also transfer music from the md back into your hard drive if your one of those people who don't like having a lot of music taking up memory.,another benifit..there is an easy burn program that lets your transfer music straight from a cd into the md
