Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WH1000XM2: Over Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone - Hi Res Audio and Active Sound Cancellation - Foldable On Ear Headphones with Travel Case - Gold

    • The app for the Sonys is amazing and Bose has nothing to offer in this area.
    • The app is very easy to use
    • I have to admire the app and the headphones for actually guessing what I'm doing and where I am.
    • The best on the market, but let down by the bug (see below), and poor quality app.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Headphones automatically shut off every 5 minutes.
    • The Sony's fancy app and customizations are basically a gimmick, there is no real value
    • And the app is also pretty good.
    • The app that connects the headphones to your devices is terrible!!!Read the reviews on Sony Headphones Connect
    • There is an app associated with the headphones - it does a degree of tweaking of the audio, but I felt that the app really needed some work
    • The app on the phone was cool though and the putting your hand on one of the cups to amplify ambient noise was cool too
    • In terms of sound, you get super-crisp audio that can be EQ'ed using the free downloadable app
    • I really wish the app would allow you to disable some of the control points on the headphone
    • - The app is very useful to make adjustments.9 - Sound quality
    • I had issues finding the app by searching for it on the App Store, a simple google search gave me a link to the official app on the App Store
    • Did I mention the great app yet?
    • App for iOS needs improvement
    • I liked that the Sony has an interactive app that shows me how it's calculating the noise cancelling (and it is noticeably improved after the calculation)
    • The good:-Great app that accompanies these headphones
    • First of all this headphone is definitely awesome, noise canceling works like a magic and sound quality is very good, I love the Headphones app as it gives you chance to have more control over it (I like changing the VPT so much!)
    • Via a really cool app, you can control everything, from cancellation to EQ.
    • Also the Sony app allows you to in real-time adjust the noise cancellation per your environment, Sony's headsets also have a built-in pressure sensor which means you can adjust the noise cancellation even better per your environment via the smart app which once activated will test and adjust the noise cancellation per the pressure & environment
    • Good app for the headphones
    • There is a special app on the phone for these to enhance their performace and their ability to adjust to the environment.
    • Great features, useful app, nice build quality
    • Be sure and download the app if you like to fine tune your listening experience and 'manage' your headphones.
    • So without the dual device connection, the app is pretty much useless when connected to devices without the app support
    • My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I use the headphones with a PC, and there is no app available from Sony that allows you to adjust the headphones.
    • The app (at least for the iPhone) has a lot of functionality, and I really like the customizable equalizer.
    • Crappy app
    • Touch screen controls will need some getting to know, but when you do you will love it- Useful companion app on Mobile
    • The battery life is amazing, and I never really have to charge it, the app is nice, though the surround and eq are not good or really necessary particulary because of the built DSEE(Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) which really does improve the quality, in the way a good
    • I enjoy the app and the features
    • It defeats the purpose of wireless! On the cool side, it has a cool app to set the NC level and a couple more cool features
    • These were working great and fine then the app prompted me to upgrade the firmware to 2.0.1
    • App is easy to use to pick between different general modes
    • The app is also very well done
    • The app also is great so that one does not have to remove the headphones to manually use the features located on the left and right earphones.
    • These headphones have a nice design, the sound is awesome, the app is also pretty cool
    • The Sony's also have an intuitive app that allows you to adjust your sound quality and to your environment
    • The app that you can use with these is pretty easy to use and has some unique features.
    • Connects very easily via Bluetooth & the app is great for adjusting the EQ and Noise Canceling properties
    • The assistive app on the iPhone is extremely helpful and fun to play with
    • Best quality sound and app, not very comfortable to wear.
    • There is a handy app that should allow you to better configure these
    • Overall they are great Headphones, with an awesome companion app but headphones at this price range should not distort at high volumes.
    • No app available for Mac, works on iOS2
    • Best quality sound and app, not very comfortable to wear.
    • The app makes it easy to configure different listening mode.
    • Genuinely a step up from the previous generation and different, but as good as, Bose of comparable price
    • Small gripes like long term comfort-ability, they lack as long I am concerned since I have large ears which stick
    • The noise reduction with Sony was nearly as good as with using hearing protection ear plugs
    • (it's predecessor) headbands used to crack a
    • In future generations, I would obviously like to see even better audio quality and noise canceling (as hard as that may be) as well as an environment where it feels like my ears aren't being dipped in molten lava after just an hour or two (exaggeration, but they do get really hot for real)
    • Hopefully that get worked out but for the most part does not bother me as I have a different wireless headset for my
    • The bluetooth is almost useless... it skips every 3 or 4 seconds, which is exceedingly annoying, and the sound quality isn't as good as when you connect a cable even when it isn't skipping.
