The app for the Sonys is amazing and Bose has nothing to offer in this area.

There is an app associated with the headphones - it does a degree of tweaking of the audio, but I felt that the app really needed some work

The app on the phone was cool though and the putting your hand on one of the cups to amplify ambient noise was cool too

In terms of sound, you get super-crisp audio that can be EQ'ed using the free downloadable app

App for iOS needs improvement

I liked that the Sony has an interactive app that shows me how it's calculating the noise cancelling (and it is noticeably improved after the calculation)

First of all this headphone is definitely awesome, noise canceling works like a magic and sound quality is very good, I love the Headphones app as it gives you chance to have more control over it (I like changing the VPT so much!)

Via a really cool app, you can control everything, from cancellation to EQ.

Also the Sony app allows you to in real-time adjust the noise cancellation per your environment, Sony's headsets also have a built-in pressure sensor which means you can adjust the noise cancellation even better per your environment via the smart app which once activated will test and adjust the noise cancellation per the pressure & environment

Good app for the headphones

There is a special app on the phone for these to enhance their performace and their ability to adjust to the environment.

Great features, useful app, nice build quality

Be sure and download the app if you like to fine tune your listening experience and 'manage' your headphones.

So without the dual device connection, the app is pretty much useless when connected to devices without the app support

My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I use the headphones with a PC, and there is no app available from Sony that allows you to adjust the headphones.

The app (at least for the iPhone) has a lot of functionality, and I really like the customizable equalizer.

The battery life is amazing, and I never really have to charge it, the app is nice, though the surround and eq are not good or really necessary particulary because of the built DSEE(Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) which really does improve the quality, in the way a good
