Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WH1000XM2: Over Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone - Hi Res Audio and Active Sound Cancellation - Foldable On Ear Headphones with Travel Case - Gold

    • I believe Bose is better like everyone is sayin
    • Although its noise cancellation (imo) is better than Bose QC35, not lasting beyond 5 mins is a deal breaker for me; this was also confirmed by the tech reps at the store & they actually recommended the Bose QC35 over Sony !
    • For comfort for my ears and head they are very close, or Bose may be slightly more comfortable for longer (airplane) usage
    • Better than QC35, Bass is solid, almost as good as Bose, but I love everything else...as well as Longer battery life, Vol Controls are awesome gesture driven by swiping on Right Earcup surface
    • The Bose work great even when mowing with my lawn tractor.
    • Most all of the reviews stated that the only area they found the Bose to be superior was in comfort (they are a bit lighter and the design of the ear cups don't tend to make your ears as warm,)
    • I have to admit that I had to switch back and forth between the Sony and the Bose about 10 times to determine if I *really* preferred the Bose to the Sony, and they were actually pretty darn close
    • Just as good as the Bose as far as I can tell
    • However, you may want to try it on before you buy because BOSE is more comfortable.
    • Bottom line, if you are looking to get some NC BT headphones for music, I don't recommend Bose in any case whatsoever
    • Also, the Bose are clear but get really distorted with bass
    • I've heard the ANC isn't as good as the Bose QC 35 II, but I find the level of noise cancellation more than sufficient.
    • but it's not as good as Bose to me
    • colorCons:- These cans do tend to get hot and are not quite as comfortable as Bose for longer duration's- MDR
    • Noise cancelling not as good as Bose, although my Bose earbuds fell apart a year after warranty and they didn't want anything to do with that
    • the bose are more comfortable but the Sony aren't bad either love the features on the
    • Yes, these even outperform the Bose QC35's in both soundstage and noise cancellation
    • People can't hear me at all with the Sony's, but the Bose are insanely good at phone calls
    • Bose but with a caveat; The Bose set feels nicer, lighter, encloses your ear better and just feels like they were crafted from slightly better materials
    • ***While it may be easy for buyers in the market for top-of-the-line noise-cancelling headphones to default to Bose, they are missing out on a superior product—one that looks, sounds, and performs better than the very best Bose has to offer
    • These actually outperform Bose in that regards because the QC35II's are more centered in the midrange category
    • But I think I prefer Bose than this just base on comfort level.
    • Noise cancellation is as good as Bose, perhaps better, as you can calibrate the noise cancellation to your environment by holding cancellation button
    • The main bad thing is the comfortability, while these are decent to wear, not as comfortable as Bose but after awhile, your ears can feel pressured by the earcup
    • While the Bose are lighter and in fact more comfortable, its not that much more comfortable to forego the boost in features and sound quality that the Sony provide
    • The ear cups are very comfortable but I will say, the Bose is slightly more spacious inside their ear cups
    • I had an older pair of Bose Noise Cancelling headphones that I needed to replace.
    • The Bose cancel more noise than the Sony, but again there's a caveat
    • Best Value and far exceeds Bose 20 and 35 series noise canceling
    • After getting these Sony noise canceling head phones for $318 bucks, my personal preference are the Bose noise canceling
    • The noise cancelling is pretty strong, except that the Bose is stronger than this one
    • So long as the continue to be cheaper the bose, I would get these instead.
    • The old Bose were only partially effective in this situation, and I found I had to crank up the volume to compensate, to around a 7 or 8.
    • While the Bose are lighter and in fact more comfortable, its not that much more comfortable to forego the boost in features and sound quality that the Sony provide
    • The Bose QC 35s are very comfortable on the ears
    • Not as light as Bose QC35 but work great and has the gestures feature that is kinda cool
    • I’ve used the Bose QC 35’s in the past, and although those were quite good, positive reviews from friends led me to want to try the 1000XM2s
    • Used them on a long overseas flight and they worked well just not as comfortable/soft as the bose my friend had.
    • However, I took them both on a plane, and IMO the Bose blocked the airplane noise a tiny bit better
    • Sony has outdone Bose in all areas
    • After a few hours of A/B comparison of the two headphones, it turned out that I prefer the Bose
    • Noise cancelling not as good as Bose, although my Bose earbuds fell apart a year after warranty and they didn't want anything to do with that
    • They're not like little cotton balls on your head like the Boses are (as is the Bose's noise-cancelling capability.. cotton balls..), but they're not Uncomfortable, either.
    • However...the Bose feel like they trap heat and aren't
    • but I wish we could connect two iOS devices at the same time.#Noise cancelingSony and Bose are both excellent noise cancelling (NC) headphones
    • I came from a dead Bose Quiet Comfort 3 and the noise canceling is much better
    • In other ways, the Bose win
    • The top band is soft, though not as soft as the similar Bose model
    • I used Bose noise canceling for at least 10 years and I am very glad Sony came out with these headphones
    • The nose cancelling feature completely crushes the Bose qc35
    • In terms of comfort, Bose would win in my opinion
    • Which to choose: For me, I keep the Bose on my desk so I can work without the phone against my ear or have wires for
    • If you have big ears, listen all day, and not a lot of ambient noise around you, you might prefer the Bose; I think I would put a premium on comfort myself, in that circumstance.
    • the comparable Bose and the sounds are comparable but I, personally, prefer the Bose sounds.
    • The Bose are more comfortable to me, I like physical buttons and dont need gimmicky features that the Sonys have
    • Sound quality is excellent, same as Bose.
    • I guess someone who just wants to use the headphones on the plane may prefer the Bose, but if I am spending $300+ for a headphone it better work for EVERY use
    • Being an avid Bose lover, I figured they would be great, but was sorely disappointed
    • Apart from the horrendous call quality (Bose is also awful), and slightly noticeable wear fatigue (only longer than 4hrs), they are near perfect
    • The Bose were great at noise cancelling, but the audio was bad.
    • I chose Sony because of the sound quality and the frequency of the noise cancellation didn’t hurt my ears like the Bose did (to each their own on the latter remark)
    • I could enjoy using these, but I prefer the Bose QC35.
    • They are the same price if I can only buy one, I would prefer the Bose
    • The noise-cancelling is as good or better than the Bose or Audio-Technica where it eliminates approximately 95% of ambient noise.
    • They fit quite tightly whereas the bose fits like a pillow
    • Or the silly haadx which is supposed to add frequencies to an mp3 to make it sound like a wave file... silly gimmicks.- noise isolation is not as good as the bose QC
    • I think the bose are lacking when it comes to
    • As comfortable as Bose in a few days
    • I'll keep looking for a comfy work-polyvalent headphones, probably give up the bluetooth criteria as I'm disappointed by the sound quality of the Sony & the Bose, and I'm not ready to put 350$ for 100$ audio quality level
    • I will say that the Bose QC35 is more comfortable
    • Or the silly haadx which is supposed to add frequencies to an mp3 to make it sound like a wave file... silly gimmicks.- noise isolation is not as good as the bose QC
    • Don't get me wrong; the Bose is very nice too.
    • Not as good as bose though as that is near instant but nice enough
    • I firmly believe websites are paid to endorse bose enough to call them “even” (CNET among others)
    • Earcups may not be as good as Bose but the sound and N/C are 2nd to none in its class
    • Disappointed, I tried the Bose qc35 headphones and did not like the bass response
    • In my view, in all facets, these headphones BLOW away the Bose
    • The noise canceling is just as good as Bose QC35 ii
    • The Bose are good, the Sony's are GREAT
    • The noise cancelling itself, at least after adaptation, is as good as the Bose
    • I have been using the Bose QC35 headphones for about a year and really like them
    • However, Bose produces a little more pressure on the skull (I guess because Sony clamp tighter on the ears and support their weight on ears while Bose is looser on ears and puts more weight on the skull)
    • Still like my Bose,
    • The Bose seem to create more pressure in the ears while at full noise cancelling, and while it's not painful, I did notice it
    • The noise cancelling is simply Amazing, I tested both these headphones next to a vacuum cleaner, Sony has far outperformed Bose
    • The Bose in-ear headphones are more compact and discreet for use in places like church, but are not wireless like these Sony headphones, and not nearly as comfortable for long-term wear, nor anywhere near as effective at killing unwanted noise
    • Sony / Bose: amazing
    • If sound quality is top priority over noise cancelling, then go with the B&W PX or any number of other wired passive headphones.
    • People that tell you that B&W are not comfortable must be wearing them backwards
    • I recently bought these Sony’s and wow what a product.
