Unfortunately, a few days ago, the feature no longer work

The Bose are more comfortable to me, I like physical buttons and dont need gimmicky features that the Sonys have

There are many other wonderful features of the touch surface.

I just have to set on the phone and the headphone do it automatically, I love this feature

The mic input is a solid feature, but for some reason the cable that comes with - a grounded 1/8" cable - has a sticker on it that states there is a right/wrong direction to the cable

Clear quality, comfortable, and drown out the noise well - love the feature where you can hold your right hand up to hear what's going on around you

(there's no way to increase the volume of the ambient noise, as far as I can tell), and it's not quite the same as not wearing the headphones, but it's an impressive feature that I didn't expect to use as much as I have

The gesture controls are easy to use and the listening feature is extremely convenient

The best feature is probably how you can change your noise cancellation in 20 levels and whether you want a focus on voice, not only that, you can have it automatically adjust depending on what you are doing

Within 2 months of purchasing the product with minor use of the headphones the head band cracked on both ends where the speaker is with no effort at all thus causing the effectiveness of the noise cancelling feature to be heavily reduced

One thing to be careful about is having them on while on flight takeoff and landing, for some reason the noise canceling feature made me feel slightly nauseous

The noise cancelling works great and blocks out lots of airplane engine noise and lets you enjoy your music, I really love the features where you can change tracks or turn up the volume with a single swipe of your finger and also the fact that you can listen to someone talk to you by simply covering the right side with your hand

The feature of covering the right ear to hear instructions and conversation is great.

So it is probably not the headphones but my phone; just be aware that this feature might not work well with some phones.

They are packed with great features including a touch sensitive controller on the right outer ear casing that lets you play, pause, raise/lower volume, activate voice command (Google / Siri), along with an innovative feature that allows you to hear what's around you by placing your hand on the right casing which stops noise cancellation and activates the external microphone

The Sony competitor doesn't have the ability to skip tracks and that is an important feature for me.

The user interface is feature rich and easier to utilize than the Bose, but the software feature is, again, lacking quality.

Instead, you have to charge these through your computer which is funny for something that stresses portability as a key feature.

Sony's headphone app unlocks some additional features for these, like toggling on and off adaptive sound control (which figures out what you are doing and optimizes the sound cancellation/ambient noise settings)

The most annoying feature is the touch sensitive switch.

Being able to cup the right ear to turn off the head phones and hear someone is really great feature, being able to customize the noise canceling to filter out or allow voices and if you like automatically adjust based on your movement pretty cool

Another incredibly useful feature only found on Sony’s WH-1000XM2 is the ability to “muffle” the audio by placing your hand over the right ear cup.

Another very welcome feature is how easy and intuitive these are to control with various finger movements on the cover of the right ear cup

I love the touch features on these headphones and I'm waiting for the software update for Google Assistant

The Google Assistant is a handy feature and is seamless, long hold on the right earcup activates Google assistant and listens to my orders (make phonecalls, leave texts, play music, get news among others)

And, extra features are available with Apple devices via phone app or via the SBC codec on Android.

The iOS features on the app are amazing as well!

For me, the sound quality, the features and noise canceling won the day for me.

I was surprised at the touch sensitive ear cups that allow you to control the music and volume, and also let you disable the noise cancelling in the event someone asks you a question (which will ALWAYS happen when you are listening to something, lol), very cool feature

I have yet to see if the hands free options for noise control when standing, walking, in motion, and running {running is not an option for this headset} works when you're connected to a device without GPS, but I'm sure you will lose this feature on a device without GPS (like my kindle fire)

But Sony's feature of pausing the ANC if you hold your hand on the right earphone won the day for me.

Other neat features are the ability to control the headset using 'gestures' - tap to pause, swipe to change volume or advance tracks, and cup to enhance conversation.
