Right now, i know one thing for sure, i am not selling my RX100 (can only do so for RX100 III) simply because Sony RX100 series are smaller cameras, easier in a variety of situations, gets auto focus easier in low light with face detection, useful focal range, image stabilization and very good video quality.

I think some of the claims of poor image quality relate to this decision.- Crummy manual and no manual in box.

For now, I shoot in 60i, which works fine and still looks good.- Sony supplies no software for Mac, but I would use my third-party programs anyway.- When zooming in video, once you hit the end of the optical zoom, it kicks into digital zoom that degrades the quality.

Night shot in almost complete dark is pretty cool, it will cast a red light on your pic and then with just one strand of christmas lights on one wall for room lighting, it gives an image pic taken of good quality, I'll call it a night vision pic, very impressive and even somehow sometimes comes out like a normal pic in normal light, none of my other cameras can do even close to this, I'm excited to see if this means it will take low light videos for my you tube channel, where my other cheap cameras just give me black screen.
