Sony SEL50F18 50mm f/1.8 Lens for Sony E Mount Nex Cameras (Black) - Fixed

    • Tack sharp, fast and great focal length on the APS-C bodies.
    • I love the focal length and this lens is very fast; at a 1.8, the depth of field is very shallow and makes it look as if I'm shooting with a $3000 DSLR
    • Not only is it an incredibly versatile focal length, but the images it produces are nothing sort of spectacular
    • Also, since the a6300 is aps-c, the effective focal length in 35mm is ~75mm, which makes this lens of extremely limited use indoors
    • I've also used it occasionally for street photography, although its large focal length makes it cumbersome to use indoors
    • This lens is a very good portrait focal length
    • 50mm (at 1.5x crop) isn't my favorite length, but I've found this a fun walkaround lens
    • , it's fast, it's stabilized, it has good bokeh, and the focal length is very useful
    • I like the focal length for portraits.
    • It's just a more usable length and focuses much quicker
    • The lens has been great for work in low light, and the focal length has been perfect for close-ups of architectural details and art objects
    • I love this focal length, which is about a 75mm equivalent 'portrait' kind of lens on the Sony NEX series crop sensor
    • The focal length is gorgeous, mathematically it works out to a 75mm on a 35mm size sensor, so it's more telephoto than one might think
    • Typically, I like to shoot portraits at 85mm, but the 50mm focal length of the SEL50F18 is quite good at 75mm with crop factor of 1.5
    • 50mm is an awkward focal length,
    • Great image quality, image stabilization, relatively light, and a decent focal length for portraiture on APS-C cameras
    • My favorite E Mount lens (although there are only like 6 available at the moment)This lens takes amazing pictures even in tough lighting conditions (I've almost never used a flash with this lens).Cons -Auto-focus can be a bit slowWith the 1.5 crop factor it's closer to a 75mm lens (a 50mm after the crop would have been better
    • Perhaps the quickest way to drastically improve your photos with an E mount camera like the Sony a6000, a5100, a5000, etc
    • Great E Mount Prime Lens for the A6000.
