Sony Sound Bar Speaker HT-Z9F: 3.1ch Dolby Atmos / DTS:X TV Soundbar with WiFi & Bluetooth Technology for Virtual Surround Sound - Wall Mountable Home Theater System for TVs with Wireless Subwoofer

    • This is a great sounding system in our bedroom, and it would have sounded equally good in our living room area.
    • The Atmos effect is honestly not very pronounced -- I can't say I hear it at all -- but I do notice that the entire system sounds excellent together
    • Although I don't hear the 3D Atmos effects very well, I applaud the system for producing high-quality sound from a compact package; many competing systems which support Atmos are very large and don't look great in front of the TV
    • The system is very attractive, it has a set of manual controls on the top of the bar, and although I don't use it a hard wired network connection on the back and a USB input.
    • In conclusion, this setup is good for a bedroom or dorm room, but I prefer home theater systems for my living room.
    • In my media room, I have a nice atmos wall system, with speakers in my ceiling and walls which I love, but to be
    • Yes, but it’s physical limitations will keep it from sounding as good as other systems driving larger speakers
    • In the end, I wish there was a little more user-end customization with the sound signature, but the clean setup, unique surround sound, and seamless wireless connections make this a solid system worth having.
    • On so many occasions, the volume sporadically jumps up to 100% and can't be adjusted (this is a very powerful system -- 100% volume will knock you and your neighbors off your feet)
    • This particular sound system, I think is Sony's answer to the competition, they have a very expensive system, that despite being very good, is not quite as good as some other high end sound bars.
    • The system is available with or without the surround speakers, and it sounds just fine without them, but if you want to experience true surround sound you will want to invest in the additional speakers.
    • This is by far the best sounding system I've had over some Klipsch and Boston Acoustic systems which are outdated, but still very good
    • Here we get a great 5.1 system that supports the slatest technologies and has great sound without the super premium price.
    • After I installed this system and enjoyed the true surround sound --- I will never go back to mere Sound Bars alone and cannot recommend this Sony system highly enough!
    • As it turns out, the system works just fine using another HDMI input on the TV for one of the inputs.
    • CONCLUSIONIn the end, I set out expecting this system to be half marketing hype and it blew me away in every way possible.
    • After I installed this system and enjoyed the true surround sound --- I will never go back to mere Sound Bars alone and cannot recommend this Sony system highly enough!
    • In fact, I wish this system didn't have it at all because it often tempts me into trying it, only to be let down by uncontrollable full-blast music or connection issues that my other Cast devices don't exhibit
    • All that said this is an excellent system for sound.
    • I'm used to (and quite fond of :D ) the BOOM that rifle makes, and I was surprised and giddy at how well this system portrays it.
