Sony SRS-XB31 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, Red (SRSXB31/R)

    • The sound quality is very good with excellent bass for such a small speaker
    • Once you download the apps to modify it and do things like reduce the bass to the minimum possible yield (I STRONGLY encourage this) and turn off the nuisance LEDs, it sounds great
    • I wish the lights and extra bass could be disabled, and the ability to whack it for sound effects probably won't get much use (and may result in eventual breakage in some groups), but I'd still give it four of five stars.
    • I like strong bass and this has it
    • The sound profile was lacking bass and lacking good human singing voice reproduction, the sound's dimension felt small and narrow, and did not hold up in high volume
    • Unlike some of the other things I've used that can boost the bass, this doesn't lose as much of the mids and highs when you do it.
    • I love the quality of the sound, the bass comes clear.
    • Live Sound enhances both bass and treble and creates the illusion that the sound is not localized to the small speaker
    • Loses bass at higher volumes.
    • I think too much bass is the downfall of this speaker
    • What made it exceptional was its large passive bass radiator, in its center, forward firing, which really enhanced the bass without falsely coloring it into a boomy, and muddy sound
    • Some people may like the bass and find it more than sufficient.
    • The bass is great, and the highs and mids are absolutely acceptable
    • Other speakers that tout great bass can be pretty deficient in producing clear middle and treble tones, sometimes to the point where
    • It lacks bass.
    • It has a very strong bass.
    • So, when you couple the very decent native bass coming out of this speaker, along with placing it up against a wall, you will be very surprised how much it delivers
    • When I first listened to it the SUPER BASS mode was on by default so the speaker could only go to about 60-70% sound before sounding bad
    • The bass is good (not as good as the Apple HomePod)
    • Nothing delivers the bass like Sony's SRS-XB41.
    • The sound is incredible, the Live mode adds so much depth and it has a awesome bass response for the size.there are alot of things to do with this, I am using it as a computer speaker, but it can get wet, although I wont let it
    • Yes the bass is impressive for a small
    • The sound was clean and pleasing with a nice bass response
    • This is a nice speaker with amazing bass sounds and cool lights
    • Not only is it great looking, it also has good bass and other cool features
    • These small Bluetooth speakers purposely overemphasize bass and trick the ear into being impressed
    • At full volume it can easily fill a decent sized room with sound, the bass is clear, with great mid range and wonderful highs
    • The bass is awsome an sound is balanced
    • The bass really thumps just how I like it
    • Nice all in all...great bass but treble is a little weak on vocals.
    • Once you download the apps to modify it and do things like reduce the bass to the minimum possible yield (I STRONGLY encourage this) and turn off the nuisance LEDs, it sounds great
    • I prefer the regular sound over live so the bass remains solid, but that too sounds good
    • The bass and treble are great
    • Extra Bass (default) setting has pleasant sound with good bass - for a small speaker
    • I'd say it's pricey, but it's waterproof and the bass is really good
    • Bass is good, and in my opinion not "overdone"
    • The bass is decent, as it boasts DEEP BASS on the box.
    • The sound is really good and has a good bass to it too
    • 20+ Watts for Louder Volume; Rich Bass; Perfect for home and on the go; Water Resistant
    • Great bass response, good mids and highs, and you can turn the bass enhancements on or off, and there's a 3 channel equalizer as well in the app for lows, mids, highs
    • Nice all in all...great bass but treble is a little weak on vocals.
    • It has a nice rich tone, good clarity and bass, and *one* speaker can provide lots of music across our patio by itself.
    • I also heard very impressive sound, playing the "Best of Foreigner", which has a lot of great bass
    • But the best thing is that the bass still works well in all of the modes.
    • This is in fact THE BEST bass portable speaker I have ever tried!
    • Standard mode sounds bland and lacks bass
    • Great bass and the lights are pretty cool when you have them going
    • Great bass and the lights are pretty cool when you have them going
    • I can hear the bass, especially on the 41, again impressive for the size
    • The bass on this baby is heavy and deep, perfect for more bass heavy hip hop or dance tracks that you may want to play
    • The bass is phenomenal
    • At lower levels the XB21 sounds good, but as you raise the volume, you lose bass
    • They have this cool lightning-like strobe effect that (combined with the great bass) are awesome for falling asleep to with the sounds of thunderstorms.
    • The sound is excellent and the bass is very deep and satisfying and quite remarkable given the size of the speaker.
    • Other speakers that tout great bass can be pretty deficient in producing clear middle and treble tones, sometimes to the point where
    • What made it exceptional was its large passive bass radiator, in its center, forward firing, which really enhanced the bass without falsely coloring it into a boomy, and muddy sound
    • It's clear and the bass is amazing
    • Sound very, very good and bass noticeable
    • Great spacial quality and more bass than I expected.- Sounds great at low volume levels but this puppy can get loud- Excellent dynamic
    • Overall, it's nice and i'd recommend it if you're looking for an attractive speaker with good bass.
    • The mids and high come through convincingly and the bass is loud without being too boomy or clipped.
    • The louder it went, the less bass it seemed to carry
    • In normal mode, the forward projecting sound projects well and does justice to mids, as well as bass.
    • Great bass response
    • Given the words "Easy Bass" on the box, the emphasis here is obviously on bass, so I was not expecting the sound to be as rich and full as it is
    • I bought this mostly for listening to audiobooks in the shower/bath (I'm one of those people) and at first the extra bass was REALLY annoying because it makes the narration sound strange
    • It produces a wonderful sound, with rich, clear bass
    • Even where standard loses the extra bass, there's still far more bass there than normal.
    • It has good sound and fine bass, I like the light effects, and the control panel is very user friendly, hidden beneath the waterproofing tab.
    • Bass is just right
    • I dont think SUPER BASS should be an option with this speaker, it doesnt handle it well
    • The IP67 rating and the other features mentioned make it a decent option that will provide some durability that's missing from many other portables, but the bass response and lack of charger detract a bit.
    • My primary complaint is that the bass is a bit too strong
    • I was honestly expecting a lot harder hitting bass than what it puts out
    • As a result, I've been more or less stuck with whatever the last settings I had, which means muddy bass most of the time
    • It's very clean sound and does a really good job at low volumes, where many speakers fail because the bass holds up there as well
    • Very clear and heavy bass, Cool lights and long battery
    • The volume, the clarity, the bass are amazing
    • So, if you're looking for good-looking speaker with nice bass and long-life battery, you should go with Sony SRS XB41, if you need cleaner sound quality, I would probably go with JBL Xtreme.
    • The Super bass is booming
    • The bass is loud and obnoxious
    • Although I do not listen to bass-thumping music, I love to hear solid bass when listening to blues, jazz and even classical music and this speaker delivers that
    • Solid and well rounded sound, decent volume output, solid bass, and the light show is fun to watch
    • Awesome sound though with nice bass; an overall great little product.
    • Arguably the A2 has slightly better highs, but it's a small compensation for getting better bass, for my preference.
    • Overall, I'm absolutely delighted by their sound quality: clear, crisp highs, mids, and bass, and I appreciate the ability to switch between "extra bass" and "live sound" modes; the latter mostly just weakens the bass a little to bring the highs and mids to the front
    • The bass is good, the treble is good and overall the volume is fantastic
    • the bass was awesome
    • What's incredible is the SOUND - it's got the most rich bass I've heard
    • One issue I did have and found that other people have, though, is that it will stutter as if it’s buffering about once per song when connected to an Android phone running 6.0 Marshmallow, which admittedly is a few years old now
    • On my first test run, I had played it with the light show going the full time, as well as with the above average sound level
    • If you pour water on your speaker you don't have to worry as it will bead off the thing.
    • We use it for background music at home as well as when my daughters are practicing routines with their music.
    • Usually, I would recommend this option; however, the flat line on the EQ did sound as good as if you elevated each of the three areas (treble, midtone, bass) in some successive pattern
    • The color changing LED’s are really fun and give a cool ambiance to any party scene.
