Sony SRS-XB31 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, Red (SRSXB31/R)

    • It fills the room with sound and it can be turned up really loud (which is just the way I like my music!)
    • The obvious benefit is the portability, which allows the user to take it anywhere in the home and enjoying their music off their electronic device.
    • All said, I would recommend this speaker for youngsters that don't know the difference between good sounding music and mediocre
    • If the music is even moderately loud, the tapping and hitting registers enough to trip the lights, but the playing of the music apparently overrides the party booster action.
    • It's lazy, and it ruins anything but a subset of popular music with no complexity to lose in the first place
    • While this is fine music, it's not so great for normal speech
    • It can easily fit in a backpack or purse and can just as easily be set on the corner of a desk or in a room and fill the space with great sound quality music.
    • but I reserve my favorite classical music to very high end Grado headphones and now strangely enough this little thing

    • Best suited for slower music at lower volumes.
    • The sound wasn't as good as in-app music sources, but I don't know whether cause was the Sirius source
    • Oh, the free downloadable Sony Music Center app is less than stellar, but really isn't required to get the most from the SRS-XB21For the money, this is a great sounding, long-lasting Bluetooth speaker
    • Overall this is a great solution for portable music/sound at a pretty decent price-point.
    • Lighter music like Americana and acoustic music, also audiobooks, the bass is too heavy
    • We love music in our house and this speaker feels like an experience itself
    • Out There:I use what I consider to be the best Android Music Player on the planet, from JRT Studios
    • I got to thinking, in order to be fair and give Sony the benefit of the doubt, I had failed to consider in my first test run and review, that the short battery life might have been the victim of running the "light show" on the speaker, the whole time that it was playing loud music
    • With The Best Android Music
    • Now that I have accessed it (via info from the online manual), it looks like quite a fun feature to me, especially for young, and active, or older rock gods and goddesses who like their Rock music like me, enabling the user to actually hit the speaker in several places on its body to get different sounds
    • so you get additional sounds out of while your favorite music is playing
    • I hate tinny sounding music, and love percussion.
    • Acoustic music sounds fantastic here, despite the xtra bass marketing
    • you like music and good
    • is if u like lively party music or even something
    • Sony has attempted to make this a 'party' speaker, with things such as music-reactive LED lighting and the Fiestable App, which allows you to physically tap on the speaker and add cymbal, snare or bass drum hits into the music you are playing.
    • It's lazy, and it ruins anything but a subset of popular music with no complexity to lose in the first place
    • The color changing LED’s are really fun and give a cool ambiance to any party scene.
