Now that I have accessed it (via info from the online manual), it looks like quite a fun feature to me, especially for young, and active, or older rock gods and goddesses who like their Rock music like me, enabling the user to actually hit the speaker in several places on its body to get different sounds

Oh, the free downloadable Sony Music Center app is less than stellar, but really isn't required to get the most from the SRS-XB21For the money, this is a great sounding, long-lasting Bluetooth speaker

Sony has attempted to make this a 'party' speaker, with things such as music-reactive LED lighting and the Fiestable App, which allows you to physically tap on the speaker and add cymbal, snare or bass drum hits into the music you are playing.

Overall this is a great solution for portable music/sound at a pretty decent price-point.
