Amazing radio, it has replaced an older radio we had years ago

Great radio, it is on the small size, but has great sound and is pretty loud for how small and the digital tuner and presets are nice, would definitely recommend.

The boombox is very big and bulky, so keeping it for just the radio seems silly.

The only drawback I've experienced is only being able to program 3 of your favorite radio stations into your unit instead of at least 5.

CFDS70 was released in 4/10/2016 whereas CFDS50 is released on 3/13/2014."The only benefits or new features of the S70 over the S50 are that the S70 has a sleep timer and a battery power display (which allows you to visually check your battery power).I own both models and when I placed them side by side, my old S50 got better radio reception than the new S70.

Unlike those who complain that this $40 radio combo doesn't sound like their parents music room systems I found this to be a great little radio.

It does everything, plays tapes, CD's, records, has great radio, and the sound is fantastic!

Although my tastes vary and I still have hundreds of cassettes, 95% of the time I use this, I will only touch: a)power button, b)volume buttons, c)favorite radio buttons and d) CD play.

I wanted a small, high quality CD/cassette player as both backup for my huge library books on tape, as well as to act as external speakers for my Amazon Echo Dot (I don't need a high volume/high RMS wattage speaker system for low volume bedroom background music)

Lesson learned: no matter how busy I am I will not trust the integrity of a vendor or a manufacturer, I must verify that the item I ordered works as it should.
