The noise canceling feature makes me feel like my ears are being violated!

Sound is pretty subjective though, but noise cancelling and other features aren't - these are solid.

My FAVORITE feature is being able to hold your palm up to one of the ear cups and lower music volume and allow ambient sound in

The touch controls and companion app are nice features, as is the ability to fold the headphones flat in the included hard-case

There are also some nice features available with the companion app.
