The Sony was easy to assemble out of box, color and picture needed no adjustments right out of the box

The Sony customer support experience is infuriating.

Even when Sony gets around to giving you the software upgrade, you will have to then wait, and wait, and wait, to upgrade the firmware on any device that FEEDS DV content to this TV but WHEN will that vendor get around to a firmware upgrade to support Sony's laziness and penny pinching lack of true Dolby Vision support?

I love the Sony, it was worth paying extra, the Sony 4k Triluminos Blu-Ray I already had plays well with the set and movies look incredible

For a $1900 XHD that's cheap skate and prevents you from setting up your new cable TV until you can find a SONY IR Blaster (not readily available at electronics stores).

The Sony XBR49X900F did not disappoint

LG worked best at the 8000 level for a much lower price point, but the dual database processing, superior contrast (look at this model side by side with the 800E model and you really see the difference), the Sony won the 900/9000 comparison

I highly recommend this Sony.

Sony's upscaling technology has improved to the point where it is really becoming difficult to tell the difference between native 4K video and HD video that has been upscaled to 4K. Between the upscaling and rapid 120Hz refresh rate most HD video really pops on this model

As for television, set up and programming went well Sony software upgrade made a difference.

Sony X900F is very good, but it is hard to recommend at the current prices.
