Good quality sound and nice bass.

While it seems logical that simply boosting bass and treble would work, in my experience it doesn't work as well without a midrange control.

pretty hard and longer bass notes are there but nothing like something a subwoofer can deliver

however, i am using these with a 31 band eq, and for the most part it has solved the sibilance issue and even adds in enough bass to get away with not using a sub (down to ~30 hz).

The bass is pretty solid and strong too.

It also has the other auto preset modes that certainly please those who like more bass and enjoy the sudden "blasts" of music and special effects "game mode".

i could barely hear neal peart's massive drumroll's and geddy lee's bass was anemic at best

The cable TV was solid, but Titanfall sounded very good, especially when hearing the thumping, clear bass while running around in a titan machine on-screen.

I wasn't sure if the adjustable bass and treble on this soundbar would change the sound quality.

I do not have a subwoofer as the previous speakers I've owned have had adequate bass and these babies have more than enough bass to make a subwoofer redundant for me

The sound is good, and the subwoofer does help boost the bass when you're playing MP3's, but I think a good set of headphones would be preferable for serious music listening and also take up a lot less space

They aren't JBLs but they have a great bass response and the horn really throws, maybe a little too much.

LOW bass just sounded like nothing.

When I boost the bass by raising the 20 and 60 hz from an eq, it seems that a sub was not necessary

The bass needs a boost as well but it will vary based on the source CD and the placement of the speakers in the room.
