So jumping to the sound: this easily outclasses the audio quality of a Google Home device with thick, rich bass and sparkling highs with just the right about of mids.

After many positive reviews about this speaker I hoped its overall quality would offer a better bass.

If bass is as important to you as it is to me, throw in the extra dough for the Soundcore Boost with Bass Up!

Really good sound and strong bass for the size

It’s not thumping bass, but the bass it does produce is enough to let you know it’s there

If you're looking for good sound, IPX7 rating, decent bass and a decent battery life, go with the Soundcore 2.

The sound is clear and bright, I'm not an audiophile but dont mind the nice but gentle bass as it does not distort the music and you still hear a good thump coming through for a speaker this size

What it sacrifices in battery life (down to 12 hours from 24 hours of the original Soundcore 1 and 2) it makes up for in better waterproofing and a just enough bass to make it really make a difference and give a richer, fuller sound

Although it couldn't reach all the highs and lows, it had rich bass and sounded good in every room of the house, even the bathroom
