The gray color isn't totally awesome, but since I saved a LOT of money by not having to buy a more expensive desk I can overlook that

I'm about 5' 6" and the medium desk is just about right for me

13 – 17 inches is not high enough to put your laptop or monitor eye level, so your neck will be tilted down when using those expensive standing desks

In office my desk is already elevated so I used the laptop only version

It was recommended as a "starter" standing desk, and, at $25, seemed like a thrifty and ingenious alternative to other standing desks costing hundreds of dollars

That's obvious, of course, and you have to pay hundreds for a good, convertible standing desk

It's best to alternate between standing and sitting, and even though a more expensive sit/stand desk would make this easier, it is easy to just move this light cardboard structure out of the way and sit for a while.

Note to fellow Kinesis Advantage users: it fits nicely on the keyboard shelf, and the desk is sturdy enough that it doesn't move/wobble.

The only real negative thing I have to say about this, assuming that you are expecting it to not be the best standing desk, is the set up

Most of those expensive standing desks; the height they will give you when adjusted, is 13 or 17 inches

We purchased this desk during the crownfunding period, and this desk is fantastic

But once I worked past the initial suspicions I realized what I had: a perfectly functional, completely stable standing desk for $25, as opposed to $300+

I bought this originally to see if I would be comfortable standing and then maybe buy an adjustable standing desk

The desk seems quite sturdy, despite (in my case) the parts arriving damaged

It doesn't have the variable height adjustment of a more expensive desk, but the height it gives me for standing is perfect

Surprisingly sturdy and all around great first standing desk.

But an excellent way to decide if a more expensive standing desk set up is right for you.

I am definitely not a person of means to afford a standing desk and I work at a non-profit where it would be a significant burden financially to request they purchase a standing desk for me

I bought 3 of them but didn't install the keyboard tray on my desk since I didn't have enough room for 2 monitors, but it was great solution compared to other expensive standing desks that fit well on my keyboard tray and 2 monitors setup without getting rid of my current desk.
