The phone was quite slick being glass front and back but this case has a good grip and feel to it, but nit grippy enough to interfere with taking it in and out of a pocket or belt case when you want it out.

I've lost grip twice, once from waist level and another time the phone tumbled 16" off a cardboard box onto the floor, each time the surface was faux laminate wood flooring

The grip is not very good but that's a minor issue
