The bump is rather small but a bigger concern would be dirt getting into the space and scratching the phone, which will happen over time.

My last phone (an iPhone 7 Plus) used a Belkin case (Belkin AirProtect SheerForce Pro Case for iPhone 7 Plus (Phantom) that I very much liked because it was thin, flexible (meaning, easy to get on/off) and provided good drop proetction

I am a case nut and purchased several cases to see which one protected my phone best and felt comfortable and was still attractive.

It's a little slippery, but seems like it will protect the phone just as well as a more expensive case.

With that in mind this case is more for protecting the phone from scratches, I don't think it would protect it from a 4 to 5 feet drop maybe not even 3 feet

I chose clear, so it is barely visible, but protects my phone without being noticeable or interfering with operation of the phone

Got this for my wife's new X - she loves the style and it has protected the phone very well so far.

I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to show off your gorgeous new phone while still protecting it!

I'll add to my review once I have the phone and can comment on how well the case fits the phone and whether it hinders controlling any of the phone's functionality, but so far I'd rate it 5 stars.

Never had a screen protector and never broke the screen thanks to the case that protects the phone

I wanted a clear case to showcase my phone, I mean the X is a beautiful phone!

Provides good edge drop protection and combined with a screen protector (mine is great is from Ailun here on Amazon) should provide excellent front and back protection for my beautiful new phone.
