Spigen Neo Hybrid Galaxy S8 Case Herringbone with Flexible Inner Protection and Reinforced Hard Bumper Frame for Samsung Galaxy S8 (2017) - Arctic Silver

    • The sides are having that shiny soft plastic; though they give a good look to the phone and somehow it always made me feel that phone may slip if hands are not fully dry.
    • The problem is the hard plastic component is simply painted instead of a uniform color throughout.
    • The only issue I had is removing the case for cleaning, the hard plastic snapped at the corner.
    • This final drop cracked the outside hard plastic portion (the silver part) so now I need to get another case but the phone was unscratched! The grip of this case is good and not too slippery
    • The plastic broke after about 3 months right around the power button
    • However, I'm returning it because it doesn't have enough grip - it feels really slippery in my hand (the hard plastic is smooth).
    • But it still has raised edges on the top and bottom so if you drop your phone face down it sent hit the ground (if the ground is flat)Only 4 stars though because the hard plastic does wear pretty quickly but its only a minor cosmetic issue
    • The problem is now that the outer hard plastic is gone, the phone case looks lame.
    • It would have easily been a 5-star, but the hard plastic piece near the power button snapped.
    • Downside, silver/gray part is flimsy plastic.
    • Case fits nicely, but plastic on the outside is brittle and broke while putting case on after a few times
    • The edges are rounded hard plastic with no grip3
    • Even the rubber herringbone pattern on the back is a little slick, but the plastic on the sides is super smooth, which looks nice but handles poorly.
    • Bought this in May of 2017, and it lasted a good 6 months before the thin hard plastic piece cracked
    • The outer casing of the TPU is a flimsy plastic ring
    • Go with case which is rubberized at the corners, not hard plastic
    • The flimsy plastic on the Spigen case cracked while my phone was in my pocket rather than from impact
    • They're low profile, have hard plastic and hard-ish rubber, they're easy to hold, and they look cool
    • It would be good to note that the plastic is a bit flimsy when you are putting it into the case and taking it out but it is more than managable.
    • And its not a boring, shiny all black cheap plastic but a cool dark blue/silver made of good quality materials
    • I dropped it a couple days ago, on its face, no damage to it but the cheap plastic shell that goes around the colored shell broke
    • However, I'm returning it because it doesn't have enough grip - it feels really slippery in my hand (the hard plastic is smooth).
    • After almost 2yrs on my S8 and multiple drops, the bottom right corner of the hard plastic case was chipped off
    • Has the raised edge for the S8 design to prevent phone from scratching, simple and elegant Herrington texture in the cases design and simple gold/silver plastic detail that does not chip/scratch easily
    • So if you plan to fidget OR drop it often in ways where the harder plastic will take the brunt of the impact, I cannot recommend
    • Since the rubber is meant to be soft and flexible, the hard plastic is meant to give the case structure
    • Plastic broke :(
    • The lower back of the hard plastic falls off constantly leaving the rest of the case flimsy and irritating
    • The textured back is like a solid matte plastic and only slightly improves the grip
    • The top portion of the hard plastic holds well to the rest of the case, the sides, back and bottom are where the problem lies, though mostly the back
    • Cheap plastic already broke within a few months and one drop, don't buy
    • The gold plastic broke after about a
    • It fits well, looks really expensive, and is made of really durable hard plastic
    • The gold plastic broke after about a
    • I think I would've been better off though buying a case with a more rubberized border, instead of a smooth plastic one
    • That means in normal situations when I grab my phone, I'm not grabbing the rubbery TPU but the slick plastic sides
    • You can slightly push one of the edges (more so on the bottom corners) and the frame will snap off and the hard plastic is a bit loose fitting (not loose enough to come off on it own in your pocket)Have dropped it a few times onto the sidewalk, tile floor, etc
    • Right above the volume up button the harder plastic case just snapped
    • Also when the phone is placed with the backside down, the hard plastic touches the surface instead of the softer plastic, which doesn't really make any sense to me
    • More of a plastic/hard feel
    • Also when the phone is placed with the backside down, the hard plastic touches the surface instead of the softer plastic, which doesn't really make any sense to me
    • Soft touch rubber is a little slippery but more grippy than smooth glass or plastic
    • The hard plastic piece is white so minor wear is very visible after a few months of usage.5/5 case3/5 cosmetic wear
    • It fits well, looks really expensive, and is made of really durable hard plastic
    • Bought this on Oct of 2017, and it lasted a good 6 months before the thin hard plastic piece cracked
    • The maroon part of the case is very flexible and rubbery, but the gold part is hard plastic that cracks and breaks very easily
    • The reason why I cannot still give it five stars is because the hard plastic piece that goes around the case has stress fractured and eventually fallen off
    • D&P [Error Proof Installation
    • Used this case and the screen cracked as soon as it was dropped
    • It looks great, is lightweight and the buttons on the sides are the best I've ever encountered on a case - as easy to find and work as not having a case at all
    • Perfect fix and looks as good as in Ad picture
    • The phone is too light and delicate as it is...the case is not grippy at all.
    • n’t interfere with the curved glass display
    • The buttons are probably the best and most responsive I've encountered with any case
