but if dropped on a rock or something sharp, the whole back of the phone would crack... pointless protection

Sturdy protection

Perfect protection for iPhone and another awesome phone cover from Spigen.

It's not quite as bulky as the Otterbox cases but probably provides better protection than any of the other cases I looked at outside of the Otterbox series, which tends to be a bit too bulky for me.
