After approximately two years of using this case, it's still go no noticeable scratches to the hard plastic case, unless closely examined, and there's virtually no wear and tear on the rubber corners

there is not enough material to generate any friction to keep it from slipping.in addition, the kickstand is made from cheap plastic and not metal as some of the other manufacturers

The rubber liner cradles the phone and provides an excellent shock barrier while the hard plastic takes care of the hard hits

The case is made of sturdy plastic, fits smartly and looks even smarter (I got the gunmetal color).

Over time the plastic on the back gets a few scratches that doesn't really look nice

I expected the kickstand to be made of metal like on the old htc evo with a integrated kickstand but it is cheap plastic

but its plastic and it pops right off the case...totally not happy with it!

The edges where the hard plastic meets the rubber feel a little

It looks like steel from the photos online, but is actually cheap plastic

When I originally purchased it, I was concerned that the hard plastic on the outside would scratch easily, but it has turned out to be almost impervious

It has a rubber ring all the way around the face,and the back is good quality plastic.

4-stars for me simply because the kickstand, which looks a nice metal in the pics, is actually a pretty thin piece of cheap plastic

The plastic outside feels good, but the inside plastic is very solid, which leads me to believe no shock would be absorbed from a drop and it would go straight to the phone

The only gripe I have is that the TPU case overhangs the hard plastic piece on the left and right sides

Also, as others have said, the kickstand is flimsy plastic and not hold in well at all

A harder plastic or metal more firmly anchored in the backing would have prompted five stars.

The inner part of the case is a pliable, yet fairly hard rubber-like plastic, and the outer shell is a very hard, polycarbonate-type plastic

Lets see if the hard plastic back stays scratch free but for now it still looks great.

The case itself I enjoy as it's slim and has modern styling

I had the phone in its case as well as in the Encased belt clip holster, when it fell out of my hand at waist height landing on a tiled floor
