It has a rubber bumper that's not too bulky but gets the job done to protect the screen from falls

So even though my phone fell flat on the ground the screen shattered into pieces..

I also love that the front extends maybe 1-2mm above the face of the phone to prevent drops cracking the screen...it could extend a little further IMO, because having a glass screen protector on it basically removes the benefit of the 1-2mm lip
