Spin-Clean Record Washer MKII Complete Kit

    • First, it makes sense to set aside a few hours and clean a bunch of records at a time, maybe 35-50, otherwise you're wasting cleaning fluid and setup time
    • More importantly, the included Spin Clean washing fluid (when mixed with distilled water per the instructions) leaves an invisible residue on the records
    • but I didn't get any cleaning fluid on my labels
    • If you are going to clean several records at a time, say 20-25, in order to get the most out of your cleaning fluid, I would recommend buying some extra super absorbent towels with the Spin Clean System
    • I filled it with distilled water and used the recommended amount of cleaner fluid.
    • I simply put 1-2 drops of spin-clean fluid over the spot and after a few hours I removed it with a wet cotton bud (for rebel or bigger spots you may need to repeat the process)
    • However, some of the dirt remains suspended in the distilled water/cleaning fluid solution (bath).
    • Have washed 40-50 records so far and the cleaning fluid looks like it will go a long way
    • my way: boil water and let cool, fill cleaner just above fill line and add cleaning fluid, clean the record according to instructions,
    • It's a tank of cleaning fluid with brushes on each side of the tank at the center.
    • The fluid is cheap.
    • I never wash the tank out even with tap water even, as this could deposit minerals in the tank.2 - I fill up the empty tank about halfway with distilled water, and add the three capfuls of the included cleaning fluid
    • Seems like the cleaning fluid (which is supposed to trap dust particles and gunk to strip it away from the vinyl) works better in distilled water
    • I'm also using the old formula cleaning fluid which doesn't have alcohol.
    • , I recommend getting additional cleaning fluid
    • The cleaning fluid does the job well and with a little persistence, I am able to revive almost any dirty disc: 33, 45, or 78
    • Be careful with your cleaning fluid and water.
    • The fluid is excellent and a little goes a long way
    • I would recommend to go for a deluxe package with extra pair of brushes, triple the amount of drying cloths, and eight times more cleaning fluid
    • The included cleaning fluid is highly concentrated, and while you don't get very much of it, it is sufficient to clean 100's of records if you first use a soft brush to remove most dust and clean your records in batches.
    • Don't be in a rush to buy more cleaning fluid
    • The cleaning fluid will clean about 50 records before needing to change water as stated on the bottle of cleaner
    • I add enough water to reach the inner groove on most LPs (as well as a bit more cleaning fluid), and it hasn't created any problems during cleaning
    • The cleaning fluid seems to work really well, and makes all the dust and debris sink to the bottom of the container
    • It's not perfect, and the rolling action isn't smooth if your records have a rough edge, but having a compact container with distilled water and cleaning fluid is very convenient
    • It really does clean the vinyl efficiently and the cleaning fluid seems to go a long way
    • First, it makes sense to set aside a few hours and clean a bunch of records at a time, maybe 35-50, otherwise you're wasting cleaning fluid and setup time
    • Instead of committing myself to cleaning 20-50 LPs based on directions from the spin clean washer fluid, I made my own, convenient directions for just 5 at a time.
    • Here I've got the best results preparing my own solution (spin-clean fluid + distilled water), applying a heavy layer over the affected surface with a very soft brush and removing it after few hours (again, you may need to repeat the process more times because glue spots may be very hard to clean).I'm not pretending to introduce myself as an expert, just wanted to share his humble experience
    • I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I had hoped it would at least provide a better cleaning than my Audio Technica cleaning brush and cleaning fluid

    • You pour a couple capfuls of the cleaning fluid that come with the package (4 oz. bottle) onto the brushes after filling the tub with water (distilled is best).
    • You need to set it up which is not hard nor time consuming, then poor in the water and cleaning fluid.
    • I saw how some people said they got cleaning fluid on their
    • Its not magic, two brushes, two rollers, and a bottle of cleaning fluid
    • Don't worry, the fluid follows the grooves around so it does not run across the label.
    • Stick with the Discwasher and D4 cleaning fluid.
