It does have a weird plastic smell but it goes away.

The chemical plastic smell is horrible and toxic for your child to put their mouth on (which they will do as any 2 month old will)

So my main issue is with cleaning the plastic smell I’d say.

Don’t buy this product unless you want your sweet baby to smell like a strong “lingering” plastic smell
