Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jaguar Beginner Short Scale Electric Bass Guitar - Candy Apple Red

    • Each pickup sounds great on its own, but I really like the tele sound
    • I can say it does play nice, the pickups sound good
    • The pots are super smooth and quite, but the pickups are a little noisy if you take your hand off strings
    • From some reviews I'd read, some people thought the pickups were a bit weak or they felt the strings needed replaced from the factory strings
    • The pickups are not the greatest, but are more than serviceable when used with a bass effects unit, providing for a wide variety of tones
    • Its pickups are clear and versatile, the neck is thin and comfortable, it's very light weight, and it looks terrific.
    • Nice quiet pickups
    • So you can do the typical Strat combinations, but also combine the bridge and neck pickups like a Tele or even turn on all three pickups at once
    • The set up was even fine - I didn't even need to adjust any strings for intonation! As others have noted, the jazz bass pickup (in the bridge position) is weak, but the p-bass split pickup is nice and warm
    • None of the 3 pickups are mounted in parallel plane with the strings (i.e. the top of the pickup cover is at an angle to the strings, like the pickup is leaning towards the head-stock)
    • The P-pickup is clear and strong with a great P tone to it.
    • All 3 pickups are bright are super bright and chimey
    • I liked that this one had the P-J pickup combo like another one of my basses
    • I feel the pickups are good and punchy... not like using any of the duncan upgrade pickups... but more punchy than the pickups in some of my older fender basses
    • The P-pickup is clear and strong with a great P tone to it.
