After a few minutes of using with Samsung Galaxy S6 this device started consistent on/off cycles

At the moment, I definitely recommend this device

The mount hugs your device very nicely and if you have a larger phone you'll need to slite your phone in from the top, and make sure not to try to from the front

In the end, this device works as I had hoped it would!

all in all this is a great device and really helps with staying hands free while driving.

(I had a device like this without charging and it constantly fell off of my air vent, this one refuses too which is nice) and the attachment on the back to adjust the tilt and rotation is also very tight and makes it so much easier to position my iPhone X in the perfect position so that face ID works at just a glance rather than having to shift my head

I guess it depends on your car and AC vent, but in my 2012 Honda the device pulls my AC vent almost all the way down and blocks the flow of air coming out.

As an a/c vent car mount, it is very strong and reliable
