Before these highlighters I abhorred highlighting because most popular, well-marketed highlighter brands in the US bleed through pages, only highlight half of your text (making your eyes have to focus a lot more than you want) or over highlight one and a half rows of text, run out or dry out quickly, have spotty markings (cheaply made, but cost a lot), and many other disadvantages
