I had use various lead holders before from others brands including including Faber-Castell and Rotring to name some and all I can say is this is the more comfortable lead holder I've ever handle making me feel I could last forever rendering anything this is not the last model from Staedler Mars 780 C which have lead have the convenience of lead pointer integrated but neither the lead holder I was using

You really need a lead pointer to use it, though, and those make a graphite mess when you carry them around.
