I'm using mine with a laptop on the top shelf and a separate keyboard on the lower shelf, so I have plenty of room for documents on the top shelf

The AirRise has a larger top shelf compared to hers and came assembled ready to use out of the box.

The key board shelf is fixed to the top shelf so its height varies with the top shelf.

It is a comfortable distance from the top shelf.

I have two monitors on the top shelf and it's not been an issue!
