Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC

    • I noticed way too many missed social opportunities and gameplay/design mechanics of what makes a good longstanding MMO
    • All in all I think it's a pretty good MMO, If nothing else you can try the F2P for a couple of months to form your own opinion.
    • To be quite frank, this isn't the best *pure MMO* out there.
    • Most MMO's have auto attack which means you will do a basic attack that does minimal damage, which can allow the player to be a little less hands on when fighting mobs because it's possible the auto attack could kill something for you
    • All in all I give this game a 4/5, it is a good MMO with a good chance at growing into something great, however it's lack of anything totally new (other than it's great narrative and voice acting
    • Companions are needed on my PvE quests but do not eneter the warzones with you (although in world pvp companions can fight alongside).Overall this game is a good MMO release when compared to many of the major MMOs released in the last 10yrs.
    • MMO's work, if you dont like it, dont play, simple as that
    • Still, fluid and responsive combat is a must in any modern MMO... and it's enough of a problem that I think it merits stating
    • For me, the game doesn't work as an MMO, and my love of Star Wars is strong but the game doesn't have enough of the feel of Star Wars to save it for me
    • The MMO sucks because you got all these other characters playing online
    • If you enjoy playing RPG video games, this is the best RPG-MMO on the market.
    • One of the best MMO's I've played in years
    • Overall, this is a nice MMO to play, for veterans and certainly new entries into the genre a like
    • An MMO might be good if you already know people you are going to play with
    • yeah, thats not true, like any MMO there are bugs, server queues and crashes, every MMO has these at
    • Don't underappreciate the fact that every quest is voice acted - it gives meaning and depth to your standard fair MMO quest systems
    • If a game developer is diligent in fixing bugs and adjusting balancing issues a MMO doesn't really start to shine till about 6-9 months after release
    • I have never disliked playing a MMO more - when I hated logging in, I knew it was time to quit
    • great way to kill time, very addictive mmo
    • Im not sure about this, but almost every other MMO is barren of endgame stuff on
    • I've been playing MMOs for 8 years and this is by far the "best MMO to date"
    • I've been a Star Wars fan ever since I was a kid, this game is great for anybody that likes MMO games its my first online game I play often other than runescape, the only problems so far are the glichings and the long loading but thats to be expected I love how you can play for free other than what the other top MMO games
    • This is not just differences in personal taste -- this is borderline libellous material."SWTOR is poised without viable contenders to be the next great subscription MMO in the years ahead
    • I never felt like i was playing an mmo, till i hit
    • Best MMO on the market
    • Lots to learn, it's like an MMO on steroids
    • The game itself combines questlines in the style of single player bioware games like dragonage in a classic mmo setting
    • Dont let the bad reviews get to you, SWTOR is an amazing MMO!If you like getting lost in a game`s story and immersing your self in a fantasy world (or Sci
    • If you have never played an MMO, then this one might be for you, but for MMO vets like me, we've seen it all before
    • MMO's are work in progress and Bioware will continue to work out the bugs, as well as listen to the members and make game improving adjustments accordingly
    • But, if you can exceed that relatively small benchmark, and if you like a sci-fi MMO with lots of stories to tell, then give TOR a try
    • I really really wanted to like this game as an MMO, but it really doesn't feel like an MMO.
    • Everything about the game is top notch and set in an utterly fantastic MMO world.
    • There are a lot of annoying MMO fights that have no purpose because this is an MMO with respawning enemies
    • This is one of the best MMO's available at this time due to the continual updates that are being applied to the game by the developers.
    • Its a good game with Large world and a great mmo feeling
    • "Not User Friendly" and other items like that where the developers should have copied some "functionality" from other successful MMO's and refined them for SW:TOR
    • That said, my overall impression is that this doesn't have the strongest MMO community compared to some other games, but I don't have enough experience with MMOs to say for sure
    • Character Creation is Severely Lacking for a Modern MMO
    • I would really classify the Old Republic as more of an RPG with both coop and competitive elements rather than a MMO.
    • While the game isn't as "realistic" as WoW in the sense that you can't sit in a chair and have critters running around that you can kill as you please, it is very well polished for a fresh MMO
    • With the fact you can always have one of these with you (starting at about level 8-10), this makes it easily the most solo friendly MMO I have ever played, any class can go through the entire story, 1-50 by themselves
    • To be honest, haven't enjoyed an MMO this much since Vanilla WoW. Slightly buggy, but considering how huge the game is, it doesn't deserve all the flak from fanboys.
    • This is one of the must ridiculous things that i have ever seen for any modern MMO on the market, you can wait in que for some time
    • This game is fully deserving of a five, not just for the implementation of some of the most classic MMo standards; that's just good business sense
    • experience.1+ for the cinematics1+ for the story lineIf you enjoy more complex sandbox MMO
    • It's not perfect, but no other MMO is perfect
    • If your like me and was hoping for something new and exciting in fundamentals combined with a great space MMO, then you probably won't like this much.
    • Dont let the bad reviews get to you, SWTOR is an amazing MMO!If you like getting lost in a game`s story and immersing your self in a fantasy world (or Sci
    • I can honestly say that this is the BEST mmo that I have every gotten to play.
    • Wait for Bioware to fix most of the above issues, or add content, if they had spent as much effort on every aspect of the game that they put into Cutscene dialogue, this would have been one of the best MMO's ever
    • If you like Scifi......if you just want a good MMO
    • Another horrible MMO that never took off
    • Having said that, this has to be one of the cleanest MMO releases in recent memory
    • Best MMO I have played of all time
    • Good MMO if you aren't addicted to WoW.
    • great way to kill time, very addictive mmo
    • Best MMO to date..
    • I guess I just expected a step to the next level for a modern MMO, and not rehashing what is essentially the same formula that was created ten years ago.
    • If you are looking for an innovative MMO, your take on this game will depend on your definition of "innovative."
    • The interface, loot systems, crafting systems, questing systems, and just about everything else seems to be modeled after what folks think a modern MMO absolutely NEEDS to be.
    • I have played just about every MMO available today.
    • CHECK- Fastest major MMO gone to free
    • It takes your regular star wars games and makes them into a perfect and fun mmo game.
    • The best MMO ever.
    • I would suggest that all prospective customers avoid this product until it either has survived the initial period that kills most MMO's or Bioware recants this customer-antagonistic policy.
    • but I can agree this is the best MMO out there on the market to date.
    • Save your money or try a better MMO.
    • Like I sad, if you must subscribe for a month, play the storylines then move on to a good single player until a decent MMO comes along.
    • I would definitely recommend this MMO to anyone interested in the Star Wars universe.
    • if you appreciate a good MMO, you are sure to enjoy this game.
    • What I want to ask, is why did they hire Rich Vogel, the man who wrecked another Star Wars MMO, to have another go
    • Enjoyed playing this MMO.
    • I guess some MMO's are like
    • I joined two different guilds on the hunter account, and ended up quitting both because they were either annoying life-long MMO people or didn't do anything
    • This was the game that ended Star Wars Galaxies (which love it or hate it, it was the single best MMO of its time back before the CU)
    • XP.Overall, SWTOR is definately the best MMO I have played to date, sure with the Spaceflight there are ALOT of areas for improvement,
    • At the very least, it is a good base from which Bioware will, hopefully, build a worthy and successful MMO title that will last years
    • This is the best MMO I have ever played by far
    • If you like Star Wars, RPG's, this MMO is worth a try!
    • Its a given that an MMO will ALWAYS have bugs, even well after its up and running
    • Its essentially just like WOW where the quests drive the game and just like WOW and every other mmo the quests are boring and trite
    • Bioware has created an excellent MMO
    • This is defiantly one of the better MMO's and has some aspects that make it much better than the rest
    • It has not revolutionized MMO or the Star Wars series, but it is faithful to both.
    • Just like "it" did, The Old Republic has copied elements from what worked in other, successful MMO titles
    • is the most successful MMO in history, that is a good template to go off of.
    • It amazes me how ppl want to create thread after thread of why they dislike an MMO.
    • As a former World of Warcraft player and Dragon Age, I highly recommend this game for folks that like MMO's but the rich storylines and cinematics of a RPG.
    • If you just pop into a random group to get through a mission and get the prize without any real co-op or interaction you might as well give up MMO's
    • The game play is rather fun and the story line for each class is exciting however it plays more like a single player game then a MMO
    • Best mmo ever the sotry line is
    • A familiar backdrop with great missions and levels make for a near perfect MMO
    • It is the best MMO I've ever played.
    • Great MMO, makes for hours of gaming entertainment
    • Every MMO has a few growing pains, but none of them have been show stoppers
    • As far as MMO's are concerned, SWTOR has a lot of positive things going for it, and also has a lot of shortcomings.
    • Overall, I would love to give this game 4 stars, but it really misses the mark as a true MMO with limited explorability (very linear), few warzones, and crappy talent system
    • Second I want to state that I have played many MMO, city of heroes, city of villians, world of Warcraft (for over 4 years) and Rift
    • The Old Republic is one of the best MMO's to date, very fun, very addictive, I personally have already clocked over 96 hours
