Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC

    • It does have some good people, and that's where it shines.
    • As a Jedi Consular, I have felt like a Jedi tasked with protecting the people of the Republic and upholding the Jedi Code.
    • I joined two different guilds on the hunter account, and ended up quitting both because they were either annoying life-long MMO people or didn't do anything
    • People have said that the questing is boring, and I disagree to an extent
    • I don't know how many people are playing Rift but if it still has the population that it did when I quit
    • so I just kill people and my
    • The graphics are the best of any mmo i`ve ever played, some people might disagree, and say Age of conan had better graphics or AION or even Rift
    • I was able to dominate people without losing more than 10 percent of life.
    • Amazing game and people who give it low reviews because they couldn't get in, it didnt have single player, or bought for the space combat is an ignorant fool
    • So, logically, you think it'd be smarter to just find some people and play with them!Putting aside the fact that GATHERING those people can be a chore that lasts over 30 minutes on good days and over an hour and a half on bad, they aren't playing the same way as you
    • Some people say it ruins "community"
    • Some have complained that Bioware shouldn't have wasted a bunch of money on this and that people will get sick of it shortly.
    • I was kind of irked that with the trial I wasn't able to talk in general chat, curious if this was an attempt by ea/bioware to prevent haters from scaring away new people
    • SWTOR is 'fun' as a single player game with multiplayer options, you could enjoy it for several months but after that I can't see many people still having fun with the dead world and severely limited activities left for you to do.
    • If you're on a pug, you'll have 1 - 2 other people at the most who care about the warzone's objective, while everyone else on the team just wants to focus on killing people
    • Some people might love small over-instanced maps, and more power to them.
    • (ANNOYING):Some people tend to be bad at saving up money... while this game does seem to have a broken economy (inflation is a huge problem) it is annoying to be forced to have a mount to really keep playing
    • but I expect many 'll play both ;) and while many people may remember the GLORY that was SWG (nearly chokes on the rose-tinted gas) that game very rarely involved anything BEYOND grind
    • Some people are screaming about class imbalance but not me
    • People aren't easy on MMORPGs, it's a tough act to get into
    • : People complain about the graphics in SWTOR
    • SWTOR is 'fun' as a single player game with multiplayer options, you could enjoy it for several months but after that I can't see many people still having fun with the dead world and severely limited activities left for you to do.
    • And, crude people who never think that a kid might not find it amusing to use profanity during a GAME shouldn't be playing games marketed towards kids. GROW UP!
    • Honestly though, Bioware's first impression with presenting this game is just poorly done and people will be intimidated to go back
    • The very first such quest on the transport ship the Esseles is likely to make you go "What the xxxx?"At some point in the story the Ambassador who is the cause of all the trouble will suggest that you vent the Engineering section spacing all the innocent people there to gain a tactical advantage
    • Like many people playing this game I have played WOW for many years.
    • Many people are just starting their journey and are blown away by the voice acting, cut scenes and story telling.
    • The people who do this nasty should be freaking ashamed of themselves.
    • This is the reason a few people are disappointed with the game
    • Fun/Additional - Death Penalty (BAD):Everyone can rez other people and themselves at the exact location they died
    • Back in World of Warcraft, people complained about the countless grinding, kill x number of things, kill x number of things and
    • People who bought the deluxe or collectors edition will also be saddened to know the speeder they paid for can't be used until level 25 and they have 40,000 credits for a speeder - so be warned
    • There are graphical issues in some places, the cover system is imperfect, the classes could use some changes, many people have crashing issues from time to time, the legacy system is literally barren right now, some features across the board could be added, and the Warzone queue system could certainly use some tweaking, but the good truly outweighs the bad, in my opinion.
    • Some people say its alot like WoW, I agree, but I actually like that because its a quick study if youre a Warcraft vet
    • I read a lot of the complaints of the game and it seems like most people compare this to
    • Well I suppose people do like the game, I just haven't been that interested in it to continue much further
    • This can lead to scenes in which you reluctantly allow the rest of the party to blow some innocent people out of an airlock for mission brevity, for example, but such moments can be as entertaining and whimsical as they are character-conflicting.
    • If ranked WZ matches were supposed to be that, well you rather cowardly notified people last minute that you wouldn't include it in patch
    • The people playing SWTOR are essentially enhanced beta testers right now.
    • You could orient items however you liked, and people were so creative.
    • If you like WoW, and eleventy billion people can't be wrong, and you like/love Star Wars, you'll love SWTOR.If you want to be a Jedi, half the classes are Jedi, so enjoy!
    • Also an issue currently as of Feb - Mar 2012 where people are crashing and getting kicked out when things happen such as when Sorcerers cast Overload (a knockback ability)
    • Some people have complained about the presence of bugs (of which there have been PLENTY) but with many RPGs and ALL MMORPGs there are going to be issues
    • Just like many people will play this game simply because it has the Star Wars name on it, many will turn it down because of this same reason; a mistake I was doing as well
    • Back in World of Warcraft, people complained about the countless grinding, kill x number of things, kill x number of things and
    • There are certainly shortcomings: the game is still buggy, I have seen several people having trouble with the grouping system, and there are some graphics issues.
    • The way you attack people is through your
    • I assume they do that to annoy people into buying their security keys not just to be creepy
    • Because its so close to launch, there are always new people ready and willing to do missions
    • If you're lucky (like some people have been
    • if you're a Sith, "brutally murder five innocent people in front of their families", but there are only so many plots to go around.
    • Guilds are currently a pool to have 'decent' people to do group missions with and chat, that's it.
    • Many people act as apologists for developers, stating that they don't like waiting for mobs to spawn because people are camping.
    • I'm not writing a gigantic review on this like other people have been.
    • If you like WoW, and eleventy billion people can't be wrong, and you like/love Star Wars, you'll love SWTOR.If you want to be a Jedi, half the classes are Jedi, so enjoy!
    • There isn't anything to encourage people into open world PvP, so it is pretty much restricted to "warzones".
    • one big complaint is that I dont think will change is that the team limit is 4 people
