Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC

    • If you like solo play, the companions are okay
    • I was more than satisified playing Skyrim knowing there was no way our crap connect from the other side of the world would be able to run SWTOR
    • XP.Overall, SWTOR is definately the best MMO I have played to date, sure with the Spaceflight there are ALOT of areas for improvement,
    • This is by far one of the best games I've ever played, if not the best, on any platform and in any genre.
    • The game is now Free Play.
    • Definitely worth playing if you are looking for something in depth yet fun
    • If you would have told the MMO community that this game would have been free 2 play in less than a year, 99% of the community would have said "You're completely crazy".....but it happened.
    • owner,,,Plus u get a full month of free play that way...
    • While playing through the planets I enjoyed the story line and companions.
    • This game was not meant for those who already hate online role-playing games.
    • Players who already subscribe to it should demand months of free play until the bugs are eradicated
    • it gives you 30 days play time for 10 $ with a prime account here , free shipping
    • I was happy playing this game for the first few days, then the tedious activites started wearing on me.
    • I was excited because I had played KOTOR on Xbox and loved the story/rpg element.
    • came into this game with no expectations, not having played WOW or other MMO's, so I rather enjoy it.
    • I hate playing huttball now because it was made for classes with half-screen jumps or pulls, unstoppable skills and huge speed buffs
    • The free online play was OK until they changed it (greedy little boggers).
    • So if you are tired of being harassed and overwhelmed with Credit farmers or Gold farmers, then you will enjoy playing SW:TOR as up till now, BioWare has done a great job keeping them at bay, within the game at least.
    • I blamed my own connection for the sluggishness (I live in New Zealand and was played throughout with 200ms ping), and perhaps a bug for the textures, that would hopefully be quickly fixed
    • The stories keep me coming back for more, and I enjoy playing all of the classes to get the most out of all of the story lines
    • but it is weak, there was promise to have puzzles, coercion, etc to make solving a mission something that could be done in more than one very linear way, theme park, as well as playing to different class's strengths.
    • If you are looking for a single player game where you won't die play this game.
    • When I first started and saw my story scroll up the screen and that famous Star Wars music play, I was excited
    • Excellent Star wars online play, actually feels like you are a part of the Star Wars universe
    • MMO Ive ever played, they added and have been improving the group finder and such which is good
    • With the fact you can always have one of these with you (starting at about level 8-10), this makes it easily the most solo friendly MMO I have ever played, any class can go through the entire story, 1-50 by themselves
    • However the game is receiving weekly patches that have solved many issues and only continue to excel the game play
    • People are still very friendly & playing is still a blast
    • If you have ever enjoyed playing World of Warcraft, Rift, or any of those style games, you will enjoy SWTOR.I will admit that the main draw of this game if the story aspect
    • Dragon Age 2 reaching a blinding crescendo of 'barely tolerable', writing wise and game play wise, and did nothing to go beyond this
    • but so far I do enjoy playing
    • I love that I can do very well playing solo in SWTOR, because that's the way I like it.
    • I imagine that this causes a bit of headache for game designers trying to create an enjoyable yet challenging playing experience for players early in the game, yet at the same time the character has very few options to resolve challenges due to the limited skills available at start
    • If you enjoyed Mass Effect 2's style, minus the combat which is very different, and would enjoy playing in the Star Wars Universe, might be worth having a look
    • This game is litterally the most fun game I've ever played in my life
    • The voice over questing is absolutely rocks, but like I said I felt like I was playing and RPG more than I was playing an MMO.
    • So if you ever loved playing Bioware games and you are up to something new, I can recommend this game
    • Again, minor...but could be improved to facilitate game play.
    • Some of the strengths of the game are: companion system, smooth game play, and storyline
    • I stopped playing after my first month because I simply will not support a company that treats it customers as BW does
    • I am playing both games at the same time and KoTOR is an easier play.
    • TOR is good and I'm enjoying the game play
    • For me, SWTOR is the best online game I've played
    • It is the best MMO I've ever played.
    • If you have played games for any length of time, you will not be happy with this game
    • Still great, still playing
    • I recently played the Free play weekend trial for the game, Thankfully My Good rig was Broken when SWTOR released or I would have likely paid for the game and been disappointed
    • but it just had too many flaws to continue playing.
    • I was very happy playing SWTOR at first
    • This game has excellent game play, excellent story, and looks beautiful (or can if your PC is good enough, but even on lowest settings a decent PC can run it and it still looks fine).
    • I admit that, like a number of other reviewers here, I was disappointed with the lack of interactiveness in my environment, (especially as so many of us have been stealing Skyrim blind at the same time we have been playing beta and pre-launch for
    • Total scam for the purchase of this game, first you pay nearly $60 (and are suppose to get 30 days free play time) and then you find out that you have to buy another months worth of time just to be able to try the game out and see if you like it
    • I enjoy playing.
    • everyone, thanks for bearing with us as we investigated the concerns raised here
    • Once you get to 20, the plot gets stale as it becomes mostly recycled, and by 30 the class quests involve hours of pointless back and forth between planets
    • That was the point of getting to the higher levels was to become a bad a$$ and not have to worry about dealing with the mindless combat over and over and
    • I'd do something that should kill an
    • You can have a romantic relationship with them if you like as
    • The developers seem to be trying to fix and improve the game as fast as they can, and I am excited to be in "on the ground floor", so to speak, so I can watch this amazing game evolve and grow with time
    • You get several of these throughout your storyline, and they contribute to the story telling, as well as in combat and with your gathering/crafting
    • NPC characters in town repeat their same animation or just are randomly standing as well as if the whole world aside from your character froze in time
    • But by virtue of MMO design, these stories (decent as they may be) get diluted by the many, many other diversions MMO gaming throws at you.
    • You get daily and weekly quests to win a # of warzones and kill a # of players in Illum, thus slowly grinding out your PvP gear at the maximum level
