Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC

    • floors visible but not functioning so I fall through sometimes to my death, gathering nodes visible but not harvestable, Companion bugs, targeting bugs, cannot see target bugs, mobs reseting themselves for no reason midcombat, quest bugs galore, and worst of
    • If you have the 70ish bucks to blow on this game, enjoy the class quests and play the single player game (that was very well written)
    • This all works seamlessly when questing with friends.
    • Unfortunately, you quickly get to a point where you have to spend a significant amount of time grinding to progress the quests.
    • The excessive positive affirmation for completing very easy quests becomes a bit of a joke after a while.
    • Gameplay a little frustrating when doing quests but missions are varied
    • I have had fun playing the game and questing with a few friends
    • People have said that the questing is boring, and I disagree to an extent
    • You randomly have a little droid fly in and update your bonus quests.
    • The quests were definitely creative and clever especially with the release of Cataclysm, however I was just tired of the WoW World.
    • At level 50 the literally every daily quest I complete is bugged.
    • There are "heroic" quests/areas that are more suitable to a group, but everything else is solo-able unless you are under leveled
    • My wife & I are absolutely having a ball doing the Heroic 2+, Heroic 4 group quests and Flashpoints with the companions because we learned how to control them and make effective use of their abilities... and if they die, we revive them after we've finished the fight in which we receive a cheerful "Thank you!" and not some rage filled remark that you often find in groups in games like this.
    • Servers crash a lot, many quests are busted and you can not loot drops
    • Too bad the place is completely barren and empty with a few starting quests you can complete with others (MORE PVE YAY)
    • The quests I was given, which at first impressed me because of their "light side" or "dark side" options, quickly became trivial.
    • Some may like the fact it doesn't interfere with your inventory but there is something to be said about actually holding the item versus just throwing it into a grabbag quest inventory you can ignore
    • Seems like every quest is one of those "go here and talk to that person" or "go here and collect six of that thing" quests.
    • This being the case many people have switched to playing Imperial, whether for the reasons listed or simply the fact that Imperials have a much bigger player base making it easier to find groups (premades for PVP, "heroic" repeatable quests on every planet, and Flashpoints).Until BW can balance the factions, this is essentially a one faction game
    • The quest lines are great with lots of group (heroic) quests to keep friends together personal players quest line make u feel like u are in the game with a goal to
    • Heroic questing area in the game
    • (Around level 50, if you choose a dark side quest option)Poor DesignsYour class quest line is the only "unique" quests
    • I loved my days playing WoW, but questing in the world was a complete joke.
    • I tend to be a purely solo player, and except for the flashpoints (story driven group quests available between planets)I do not feel as though I am missing too much by not grouping
    • Don't get me wrong, I enjoy questing and dungeons and PVP.
    • Because that feels like what all the voice acting is for, not to give character, but to hide the fact the quests are all the same
    • On the good side, you can get to lvl 50 in the game in about 4days of playing time if you do just your class quest line and enough other quests to move you to the next planet as soon as you are able to start it
    • These elements make it so I don't feel like I'm grinding meaningless quests, ever
    • This made questing difficult, and grouping with other players for the heroic quests even worse
    • The main quest is boring but the side quests are a snooze fest
    • Servers crash a lot, many quests are busted and you can not loot drops
    • That's every quest in the game, all fifty levels worth
    • Questing - 8While the quests are not exactly innovative, they aren't boring either
    • You can finish your class quest, enjoy a lot of encounters with other people and due to companions or some hybrid classes are fine without the trinity
    • The dialogue is not well written, the combos are the same 2 button clicks repeatedly, the quests are all the standard escort/kill 10/fetch missions, the cutscenes make multi-player annoying, battles way too easy
    • Unlike some MMO's the "Instances/Heroics" don't play as much of a point (you get solid gear/commendations, but you also can get enough commendations and solid gear from your quests + bonus pieces).
    • There are substantial quests available only to your class, and with 8 primary classes, this along with the overarching story itself provides for significantly improve replayability.
    • The combat is superb, the Character story lines and class quests are interesting and unique.. even the 'go and kill 10 womp rats' type quests actually become fun and often lead to other quest lines
    • SWTOR really shines is in the story telling (class quests).
    • its not like 98% of other MMO games out there, where all the decisions you make are (ACCEPT OR DECLINE) a quest.
    • While I enjoyed going thru the stories, the quests in game become like doing chores
    • On top of this the game has a few features such as group conversations and group quest zones that encourage the multi-player side of the game
    • Don't underappreciate the fact that every quest is voice acted - it gives meaning and depth to your standard fair MMO quest systems
    • I like the quests for the most part, but there are times I almost feel like an errand boy.
    • I love the story, I love the questing
    • The voice acting is good, and I'm enjoying the quests.
    • Along the way you will acquire others based on your decisions and actions and it really makes questing and soloing some of the group quests challenging and fun
    • so it will be easier for people to find someone that wants to complete a heroic quest or run a flashpoint
    • So many bugs, broken quests and flashpoints, crashes to desktop, server disconnects, overpowered and underpowered characters in PVP, etc.
    • You get to choose from eight different classed to play from with their own unique quests as well as general quests.
    • This doesn't differ so very much from other MMOs, where your questing location and available quests are limited by level
    • TOR relies heavily on doing repetitive and snooze worthy quests just like every other mmo
    • How can one stay immersed and impressed by all the talking NPCs and story-based quests when such nonsensical outcomes happen on the very first Flashpoint mission which is supposed to be perfect and get you excited about doing these quests going forward?- Space combat
    • I am talking about a group of friends trying to get together for a hard quest
    • In SWTOR there are many heroic quests which will end your characters life in seconds without the proper level and some friends to share the fight with, but even the standard quests present a significant challenge and cannot simply be walked through effortlessly
    • Stuff that is supposed to be easy is easy and stuff that is supposed to be hard (heroic quests, instances, PvP, etc.)... feels hard
    • The Good:-Interactive storylines that engage the player and make you care about your character.-As typical for Bioware, you decide who your character is through the choices you make (light side/dark side)-The quests are pretty cool, and after getting off the starting planet, challenging as well.-You can solo the whole game, if you don't count heroic quests
    • It's not bad but it removes the need for such an auction system since it makes quality gear accessible without the need for other players (since the tokens from from easy daily quests along with regular monsters and normal quests).Quests - Questing Types (BAD):Aside from a very select few quests the majority of quests are either kill or fetch quests
    • You get daily and weekly quests to win a # of warzones and kill a # of players in Illum, thus slowly grinding out your PvP gear at the maximum level
